In your situation, I would have guessed a blown boost boot. You didn't have any smoke or fire, so it wasn't catastrophic. I bet you should have reduced power to get your MAP and EGT normalized and been fine.

I think the main purpose of the avionics buss is to isolate the sensitive electronics during engine start which can cause massive voltage fluctuations in the electrical system until the engine is running and alternator/generator is charging.

Yes, I have those printed out. The ARINC 1A and 1B are already in use with the connection to my transponder. The 430w has a ARINC 2A / 2B in.. Can I splice the ARINC out to the xpdr to the inputs on the gi-275 and and use the 2nd input on the 430 for the 275?
