It just scales the pedal input. It doesn't actually change anything, "fix" any lag, etc. It just takes your throttle input and increases (or decreases, depending on mode) the percentage sent to the ECU. Save your money and push on the gas harder, if that's what you're trying to accomplish

Is your airplane SLSA or ELSA? If SLSA: do what Cessna has approved, it's your only choice. If ELSA: What equipment is receiving SXM? Does it's manual tell you anything about approved/required antennas? Are you doing the install or a shop?

OP said he was in NAV mode. If you're not in HDG mode, it's not GPSS doing the work.

The short answer is that they can't sell very many aircraft as experimental. It might be R&D or exhibition, but for the average owner those really are not a viable solution. Until it's certified, or home built (EAB) from a kit it's basically a non existent aircraft. Factory built and...

Some of their new stuff (Icon brand) is actually quite good. I guess that's what happens when you go to the same OEMs as the big American tool brands.
