If you’re using a Windows computer this is what I would try. You’ll have to do some hunting but if you want a special character it’s the easiest way I know to find it.

Yeah, when civilian controllers do the job right it helps every plane land whole. When AWACS “controllers” do their job they help the right planes come down in pieces.

If you know the reception is poor below 2,000 in that area, have you tried turning the radio’s squelch off while in the problem area/altitude? The constant static is a minor annoyance if it lets you hear the controller.
