Airport temporary closing for auto racing.

Do you really think anyone on that track gives a crap about planes or aviation? Are you naive enough to think they are going to talk to you about aviation? All they are concerned about is one thing and thats who has the fastest car. I participate in both sports and have friends that are pilots...

Airport temporary closing for auto racing.

This is my concern, the FBO operator at Sulphur Springs said they took out a few taxi lights and the organizer of the event paid him cash on the spot for the damage. These events are pretty lucrative I think its like $250-$300 per car for both days.

Airport temporary closing for auto racing.

What's up with an airport hosting a auto race event? First Caddo Mills (7F3) closed a Runway to host an event and now Sulphur Springs (KSLR) is closing their runway for a weekend to hoist an event. When Caddo Mills did it they remained open only closing one of their runways. Sulphur Springs is...

    First Thoughts: OSH 2016

We are adding 6PC to the normal group going this year, it will be his first time there. Being his first time he's going to get spoiled by camping in HBC he will be hooked for life. I bet he comes home and sells the SR22 and starts building. :) I normally leave Wednesday morning but I would like...

    NA - Classic Cars

I just don't think you are going to find such a division of classic models. Every classic make and model has more hot rodded than not, and I don't think you will see near as many convertibles as you are suggesting. If you want a club of only your model classic you need to buy a Corvette, Camaro...

[NA] Any Non-IT Project Managers here

I work with project managers every day, my industry is strong so I see a lot of new faces being hired by the company's that I do business with. A lot of the PM's are coming from other occupations and its obvious. One thing for sure, when we start a project, the bus is leaving the station so what...

    NA - Classic Cars

I have a 67 GTO and have never had good luck with the local pontiac club, maybe you will have better luck with one out of San Antonio or nearby. If you can make it to a C&C (cars and coffee) it will be your best chance to meet owners of cars like yours. I know Austin and Houston have a C&C not...

    NA - Classic Cars

Congrats Jay, it's going to be a cool ride. Plus Streetside is a good group to work with, they don't take in junk so you know your getting above average classic.

    NA - Classic Cars

Jay, with a classic you have to pick your poison, there is no perfect 1958 classic unless you have a ton of money to spend. What are you best at working on? dive trane? body work? electrical? Interior? Find the car that you can handle, enjoy, and not drive yourself crazy chasing issues you can't...

    NA - Classic Cars

Jay I know a little about classics, I enjoy buying and restoring them. I need to learn how to enjoy selling them. If you find something you are interested in send me a link and I'll give you my opinion or direct you to someone who can.
