    Escape underwater oxygen bottle argument

I would also want to add the main reason he thinks he needs it is the situation if you remember from AOPA safety institutes video where the pilot landed his float plane with the gears down and flipped and his son was tragically killed as his main argument.

    Escape underwater oxygen bottle argument

So me and another pilot are in a pretty heated debate about whether having a small scuba tank for each passenger in the event of a water ditching. We are talking about a piper Cherokee. He wants to buy each passenger position a small scuba tank to help escape. im trying to convince him that...

Yeah asoon as I was up there I could tell I didn’t have enough O2 and I could feel the pressure difference in my body. I just did deep breathing and I was ok. It took me about 15 minutes to climb up there.

    POH missing performance charts

So I looked online and found a handbook for the B model, I have a F but the numbers under the performance section are identical. It has the takeoff performance chart in it. I'm pretty certain this will do.

    POH missing performance charts

So I dont have any performance charts in my actual POH and they are only in the handbook I have the for the Cherokee 235, even in the handbook I don't have takeoff charts. Did it even ever have it in there? Where can I get them? Also I never thought about this but since the handbook has the...

Flatlanders Up At 14,000 - Learned A Lot

This is something I’ve been wanting to test out myself, my books says I should have 600fpm at 12000 at 2400lbs which is my usual weight. 16.5 service ceiling and 18.5 for absolute in the Cherokee 235 constant speed prop. Wonder how close the books is.

Ever give someone an intentionally scary ride?

Only thing I ever did was to a co worker. All I did was say “watch this”, and I pushed the nose over maybe 30 degrees and he pulled back on the yoke and was like KEEP AIRPLANE STRAIGHT!!! I told him after to never touch the controls while I’m piloting but I kind of feel bad looking back. I only...

Sully-ski....Russian pilot lands plane after engine bird ingestion

Wow pretty incredible. Assuming by how far it slid it was probably not to bad on the deceleration.

Sully-ski....Russian pilot lands plane after engine bird ingestion

Dang I’ve always assumed any large jet going down off airport would be catastrophic nice landing. I wonder how the landing went with the gears up into the corn, wonder if it was a massive deceleration or kind of skidded ontop.
