SAT College Exam to Include Adversity Score

Haha! This thread makes me think of the movie Grumpy Old Men. "Back in my day, all you needed was money to go to college! And get off the Quad Lawn or I'll make you wear the beanie for another semester!"

    Taildragger time!

Maybe find a copy of Stick and Rudder and find the pertinent parts? You're going to really learn how to fly! I loved teaching 0 time pilots how to fly normal airplanes. They'd get into the nose draggers and complain on how easy it is to fly. :) Have fun with it! Steveo and Chops have pretty...

Ethiopian Airlines Crash; Another 737 Max

As the thread drifts... I, too, am under the distinct impression that Dereg and increased airline safety are mutually exclusive. And, my opinion, say what you will about Unions (a four letter word to some), they seemed to be the greatest driver of safety after dereg. Yes, yes, companies want...

Perfect! Thank you. I have been looking for this answer for quite a while.

Is there a second engine hour meter?

Makes me think that the Mechanic is using hobbs time to determine engine time?? 200 hours is about 10% difference, which looks about right for a tach/hobbs difference.

    Any tips on steep turns?

I'll throw a few more cents into the pool here. In the perfect steep turn, the elevator doesn't move, and the bank is exactly 50 degrees, and power bumps just a bit for airspeed. Locked in, it all works great enough to hit yer own wake. What hasn't been supported so far, unless I didn't read...

Is there a second engine hour meter?

Beatme towit. I have noticed on my aeroplane that the tach is usually .1 off from the hobbs per hour. I know the hobbs starts as soon as the engine starts by oil pressure switch and runs exactly by the second. Keep in mind that the tach time is only accurate at a specific rpm, like cruise...

    prop shop

Old man and I have sent Maxwell's a plethora of props over this century and last. Top notch. I would have sent them my Sierra prop if there wasn't such another great prop shop over in Seattle, A.C. Prop Serv.

    Headsets?

I wish there was a B&H in AK. Googlefoo has turned up https://www.readingair.com/Pilot_Shop which isn't NY, but looks close-ish. (Close for my AK comparisons, at least you can drive there from there) And this place: http://richmorflightschool.com/pilot-shop. Great thing about the expensive...

    How to reinstate a CFI

So to further the question... I also need to reinstate my CFI. So will my CFI, II, MEI classes get reinstated if I just dive right into getting my SESI? My goal is to get the SES/MES instructor certs by the end of the century, so I figgered I'd start on them now.

    Chemtrail pilots slacking off

Well, the early melts are hurting the application schedule. Dammed global warming by anthropologic means and all. You'll see more later this year I bet. The floatsam effect will be noticed by east central region when we get them ready in IA for the primaries. Especially with the new oils...

Valdez STOL competion on youtube now...

It was a great event! Meeting CC was my highlight. C-46 taking off in like 600 feet was a sight to behold. Nothing better than an airshow where people behaved. The dogs were all tame, kids mostly were for being off leash, no massive amounts of people fence, no one touching planes...
