My MSR International stove burns avgas, mogas, kerosene as well as white gas. So I drain some avgas into the fuel bottle at the camp site and simply return the unused fuel back to the plane when done. That way I don't have to carry extra fuel or pressurized cannisters.

DA today at my home drome (KFLY) was 10,280. Temp was 95 F. Even now, 10:00 p.m., with temp = 75 F the DA is 9126. So we all need to watch the POH charts!

My '65 Buick had a little window on the side of the distributor cap that allowed an Allen wrench to be used to adjust the points. A GREAT innovation! Adjusting them on my '71 Volvo requires taking the cap and rotor off, barely tweaking the points, then re-assemble to see that you went to far!!!

MJR...I also fly an Arrow 200 and do exactly what you do...prop stays at cruise setting and manifold pressure back to 17-18, just enough to keep the gear horn from sounding! A slow reduction in MP to avoid shock cooling, of course. By the time I turn final the prop control can go full forward...
