    Rag and tube structure

Media type and application dependent, as an engineer I would want to dimensionally inspect the hardware, maybe sonic check it for min thickness and compare it to the low end of factory spec. If out of spec replace or prepare to run analysis for and justify new lower spec.

    Which Twin?

You mentioned you are concerned with operating costs, what budget did you have in mind. A nice Cessna 414aw sounds in the budget but maybe a turbine would be better, pending budget?

Anyone with experience in a 450 Stearman?

Only flown the 450. Feels like a tractor, like the Pawnee it has a lot of oomph and a lot of drag. Never flew a stock one but my buddy has flown the 225, 275, 300, 450, 600hp ones said he felt the 275 was the sweet spot; lighter and more balanced. Dunno what the weight difference is from the...

    Scottsdale (SDL) Departure Delays?

I would check out kchd chandler air service or kffz. Ksdl is all big corporate outfits that seem to primarily be in the business of catering to jet stuff. Nothing wrong with that, but for small ga stuff I love being ag chandler.
