You should go to the cessna 172 club fly in next weekend in Winfield, ks (KWLD)

Im planning on going. Not sure if I will drive or fly down, will depend of the wx forecast. Either way I plan on camping.

I was thinking this also. Dosnt seem to be any fly ins in the central part of the country but a lot of them along the east coast. :confused:

Just fly early morning or late evening and they wont be much of a issue. This is one reason i dont like flying in the middle of a sunny day.

Certain parts are harder to come by on the Beech.

I'm the yellow 172 parked in row 502 near the front of the n 40.

Had about pea sized hail for a few minutes. Lots of rain too.

I hope you can get a replacement plane soon. Looks like that FBO will be buying you a 182 soon.

I could do a k81 lunch or dinner next week. K81 is only a 17 min flight for me or a 45 min drive.

I will be flying the 172 in on Friday or the Sat before the show starts and planning on being there all week, camping under the wing in the N40.

I soloed there in 1993. It is a cool airport but it used to be a lot busier than it is now, and there was a lot more planes parked there. Last time I drove by i didnt see any planes parked there or anyone flying.

About the same for me this winter, 1.5 hrs of flying since last Nov. The weather has been no good all winter for any fun flying.

Im planning on coming down again this year, not sure if I will drive or fly the 172. All depends on the weather trends.
