I had it disabled but I recently upgraded the plugin and forgot to disable it again.

Smart thinkin. "Full nose up trim... Release the pressure to flare"

I've seen that video. I thought he did a great job. I've heard a number of people do this in "nose heavy" airplanes. Enter and hold the flare by continued application of nose up trim...it's always seemed like one of those things that would work like a charm until you saw a deer on the runway...

Can buttons be moved around by admins?

You don't have to scroll back to the top. The top bar will scroll with you. If you hover over that...one of the options is to mark the forums as read...

    Hacked?

We weren't getting these types of attacks in the old software. We were getting dozens (hundreds) of one-offs. Sneakier. You probably just didn't notice. These seem bad because they pour in dozens of messages when they do get one or two accounts through the gauntlet. But, overall, it's way more...

    Mods, have we been hacked???

We haven't been hacked. It's just spam and it's all gone now. All is fine.

They're not identical. They were using multiple accounts and advertising for many different universities.

    Go back to china, spammers!

Yeah, it isn't that bad. We just click a "Spam" button and it deletes all of a user's threads and posts and bans them and submits their IP to our spam checking provider so that IP would now be burned for use on other forums. They also could no longer use that IP to register here.

PoA is moving to SSL (feedback thread)

 Ha. We're not "banning" anything. A small percentage of avatars don't display for a small subset of users using a six year old operating system. The truth is that as the internet marches forward users of older operating systems will become less secure and their experience on the internet...

PoA is moving to SSL (feedback thread)

OK, I see what's happening now. I will let you know that I'm not sure I'll fix it. There is something that we've put in place to protect some of our users from possible (though, admittedly unlikely) attack. The problem that I have lowering the guard to fix it is that it's probably only happening...

What I miss about the old forum...

I just turned it on. It sure makes some of the profiles long...but we'll see how it goes.

PoA is moving to SSL (feedback thread)

We will. I wanted to give it a month. If I would have turned it on out of the gate and then had to roll it back because of some image proxy problem...we would have been screwed. :D

SSL is the same technology that banks use to ensure that your communications with the server are secure and encrypted.

In theory. Jesse and I talked about it some. They work pretty hard on these things to ensure that its actually an image that they're downloading and that they isolate it from running as code.
