It's just the way that we're going to do it, Nate. :)

Ted was right. The additional reason is that it's just more paperwork for the lawyers. We like to get it done in one shot so that they only have to fill out one form one time a year (or two) and be done with it. Year round would just be more to track and account for.

Nothing wrong with reviving a thread. The problem only comes with people not knowing that they're doing it. Responding to a six year old conversation when the FARs discussed may no longer be relevant and the people involved in the conversation may no longer be around just causes confusion...
