Yeah, check your alert preferences. I find it’s way easier to auto-subscribe to the threads that I reply to and then just use the watched threads link to first check the conversations that I’ve participated in before wading into new threads.

Yep. Anybody on the MC has full permissions to moderate anything on the front end of the site.

It's pretty inconsequential from a user facing standpoint. It has more to do with the back-end admin permissions of the site itself. Either has everything that they need to act in their role as MC.

I've updated the chat plugin to the newest release. I also added an option to your user profile that allows you to opt out of chat if you don't ever plan to go in there and the little red notification bothers you. To disable: hover over the little profile dude in the upper right hand corner...

Be sure to read about how to properly manage themes. It's easy to hack them, but we tried to pay attention to how they *should* be managed. For instance, we paid for ours...and then installed it...and then created a derivative theme for our color changes, etc. That way we can upgrade the base...

That preference changes for all threads moving forward. But it doesn't change the threads that you're already watching. As soon as those die down (or you unwatch them), you'll no longer get emails.
