My experience is the opposite. We fostered 3 momma's and 28 puppies in the last year and I got really attached to all three mommas and couldn't wait to get rid of the non stop little poop machines. hah Even adopted one of the mommas ourselves. Have these two little cuties at home right now:

If you have FF going to KXYZ airport and decide you see something pretty and want to go low and sight see do you have to get permission or drop to VFR? Or do you just go because they're just following you?

Mine was pretty benign. It's like a bare bones physical with probably the most emphasis on vision and ensuring you didn't check any boxes indicating you're a likely serial killer. When you get the signed medical is when the real excitement starts. ;)

I wonder how that works on a Cirrus. There's no physical moving trim component, it simply electrically moves the control surface. If it were jammed I suspect that would be a big problem... (pulls chute) ;)

Just out of curiosity, what would be the reason to not get flight following. I'm still a very new student pilot, but flight following seems like a good thing to me.
