Thanks. My first goal is to get to my CFI ;) Should be done here soon. Next step is to do some instruction locally and see how things go. If everything goes well, I would potentially think about buying a plane to do some instruction. I do have a full-time job, so not sure how things will turn...

I did all of my PPL and IR in a 172. Started my Commercial ASEL in a 172, but then switched to a Piper Warrior once I had the maneuvers down.... I really enjoy the way the Piper flies and I prefer it to the 172. Something cheapest is best though....

I passed the CFI written this morning. Doing the FOI next. Will do the AGI after and as I get closer to the CFI ride.

Cowboy CFI I still fly with decides to teach me steep spiraling descent to a landing from above the airport. We usually try and get three full turns in by the time we descend to pattern altitude and then landing on the active. Except the last time... we did our three turns and came out a bit...

Mine is pretty close. Regret not buckling down and getting the Commercial and CFI in one go back in the early 2010s. Would have been on my way to a mainline carrier by now...... But the current job and path has worked out too.

Consider the outfit in Tea, SD. They were very nice when I talked to them on the phone. WX is a big concern this time of the year. Venture North is a good outfit if you go that route.
