    Approach Charts..

I agree with the majority here. If both presentations of the approach contain the same data, use whatever you prefer and feel more comfortable with. No reason to make it harder on yourself in a high-workload situation in the cockpit. Reading plates should come naturally.

Being sued because our website is not accessable to the visually impared

Yes, this is a real thing and that's what we get for allowing lawyers to breed like rabbits (or drunk rednecks). You don't have many options but if you'd like that a**hat lawyer taken care of, it doesn't take as many zeroes as he's asking. Sorry you have been targeted by these a-holes, wishing...

    A question on airport security

Most of our local GA airports have fences and gates. But the gates don't really close on any of them. :) I fear the day when crooks find out. And when they also realize how much a used Garmin can go for on fleaBay. And when they put the 2 & 2 together.

Dumb stuff I do to help learn

I've had mixed luck with dumbazzes who do not know what "niner" means and think it's "nine oh", as in "90". So after providing my 7-digit phone number, I hear "that's 8 digits". The reply "it was 7 but you weren't listening, you dips*it" is usually at the tip of my tongue but I never use it, I...

Controller shortage and the Govt Shutdown

Well, they cannot shut down GA VFR in general, they don't rule it. And if an airspace and tower are abandoned (Charlie or Delta), you can self announce and go in. Just like night-time operations at most class D fields. *shrug* Bravo, however, might be a different story.

    A nifty project

Sweet. Now imagine the surprise on your guests' faces when you say "Hey Siri, play Glenn Miller" and the tunes start blasting out of this box. :D

Hit me with your best aviation joke

HEY! I resent that remark! NOT FUNNY!!!!!!!!!! Now ... would you be so kind to help me shut my door? It's a little tricky ... you gotta jiggle this door handle first, then set it upright, slam the door ... no no again .... yeah, slam it hard ... TOO hard! ... okay, one more time ... better ...

    Learn to dial your phone....Youngins'!

The new kids don't press the red button and slam the phone down, they simply hurl their $1000 pocket computer at the wall, shattering it into pieces. Great satisfaction. Until they realize that they didn't break a $10 home phone receiver. :D

    thinking about a treadmill

If you want to put your airplane on a treadmill, it will cost you much more than 1 AMU. But the more important question is: do you think it will take off? :D

    SkewTLogPro app sropped working

Agreed, the balloons still fly, the data are still collected, the computers still run and produce forecasts. But someone made a conscious decision that they would shut off the data publishing. So even the RUC soundings webpage is "down". Someone made more conscious effort to go through extra...

    Random math of the day

Right, I was agreeing with you. And then added my own spin on it. Happiness isn't free. Flying makes me happy. Flying isn't free. But I think I spend less on my airplane than the wife does shopping. :)

    Random math of the day

Sure. But does your bank account make you grin from ear to ear when you get out of the bank and put your feet on the ground?

But it’s not April 1 yet!

It might not be April 1st yet but I bet you this option would make them a killing on each flight. Plus we'd have other pilots to talk to onboard. The usually unbearable commercial flight might actually become a little more bearable.
