    Bonanza V-Tail or Mooney M20x or ??

I believe next year, aircraft prices will drop some. I am seeing twins less than singles right now. One of the reasons I am not in a hurry to purchase. I can wait. Would be great to find someone that does not use their airplane much and offer to pay and maintain the airplane for use of it.

    Bonanza V-Tail or Mooney M20x or ??

Just FYI, Textron is making the ruddervators again. I believe they started selling them again last year? I think they were about $20K plus of the course you need someone that knows what they are doing to to install them. Probably looking at $30K maybe a little more? Yes, something I would not...

    Bonanza V-Tail or Mooney M20x or ??

Cessna 182RG and 177RG are just crazy prices. Probably close to $200K right now. Not worth it to me. The 310 would be great, and I can probably buy one, but I would barely be able to fly it due to insurance and maintenance cost. Just not what I want. I want something that I will enjoy flying...

    Bonanza V-Tail or Mooney M20x or ??

Anything I get will get an extensive pre-buy and at least an hour flight. If the seller does not want to go for a flight, to me that would be a red flag and I will no longer be interested. I do not mind at all small repairs and upgrades. That is a non-issue. I actually like it. Keeps me busy. I...

    Bonanza V-Tail or Mooney M20x or ??

I know the Commander 114 is no where near the price range. The 112 is probably underpowered for my needs. West SoCal, so I need to get to 8K quick to get over some mountains from my home airport which is at 4000’. As of now, I believe the V-Tail is going to be the best bet with the Mooney right...

    Bonanza V-Tail or Mooney M20x or ??

Average numbers, yes, they do. Those numbers due tend to shrink as time goes by. Seems the Bonanza V-Tail is 1st on the list and the Mooney will be 2nd unless I hit the jackpot and find a 310 with low time engines that flies regularly. :D

    Bonanza V-Tail or Mooney M20x or ??

Not looking for a V35B. Looking at 1962 and below. I see them all day for under $100K. For the Mooney, yeah that is what I hear. Have yet to sit in one. Trying to find someone anywhere even close to me that will let me sit in it.

    Bonanza V-Tail or Mooney M20x or ??

I would raise the budget for the 310, but I am unable to get any ME training any where near me and the insurance will cost upwards of $10K a year IF they even insure me.

    Bonanza V-Tail or Mooney M20x or ??

You won't find a 310 for 75K. I have seen a few, some with high time engines, so need to add another $90K and some that will require top to bottom inspection, because there probably is something wrong.

    Bonanza V-Tail or Mooney M20x or ??

Budget can be raised. I am more looking at what aircraft meets my requirements? What is a good airplane with those requirements? Bonanza V-Tail Bellance Super Viking Piper Comanche Mooney M20x Piper Arrow (Meets all except speed) Rockwell Commander 112A Any other to look at?

    Bonanza V-Tail or Mooney M20x or ??

An Arrow would be nice, but I have yet to see an Arrow under $100K in decent condition and for those prices, it better be 160KTS.

    Bonanza V-Tail or Mooney M20x or ??

Hey all, I am looking at purchasing an airplane. Trying to decide on what to get. Price is about $75K. Wife wants a Cessna 310, but the insurance will eat me alive the first few years. No one anywhere with 100 miles of me rents a twin or anything decent. Only C172 for rent near me. I am an A/P...

    What rating in what order?

No ATP for me. Just looking to fly for fun. Will call some companies tomorrow and see what they say.

    What rating in what order?

Might be easier to do IFR and get the Bonanza V-Tail. Would love the multi, but not the cost associated with them.

    What rating in what order?

So then if I am going to purchase a multi, might be better to do IFR in the multi. I can start multi training and add some of that to the IFR.

    What rating in what order?

If I get the IFR in a single, do I need to do another IFR check-ride in the multi? I have no problem doing all my training in the rental. My issue is, there is not many rental aircraft in my area.

    What rating in what order?

I would think "best-equipped, most often flown (aircraft) as that will likely be the most reliable" actually goes for any airplane. I am an A/P, so I can take care of most of the regular maintenance and I know a few IAs. I can see putting it into an LLC if purchased with partners, but as an...

    What rating in what order?

Hi All. I am planning for the future and need to start soon. I am planning on purchasing a Cessna 310 or Baron B55. Or maybe a Piper Seneca? Depending on what the best one I can find at the time. Basically a light twin. I have my ASEL with about 165 hours. I am planning on getting to about 190...
