Absolutely! I've gotta get my run times down again. I used to do 5k's in roughly 18 minutes, but that was in high school. I got fat in college, and am playing catch-up :P Crunches are no problem. Pull-ups have improved like crazy too. I'm getting there though.

I have not been officially accepted yet. The boards will meet again this Halloween, and they will review my application, test scores, etc., and then give me a yay or nay. In the meantime I'm going to go do my personal fitness test again to make myself more competitive for that board review.

Yeah! I really enjoyed it. It's a thick book, but it goes by pretty quickly.

This was a great book. Covers the history of the fighter pilot, and gets into some really interesting details about different pilots. Really cool stories about type-a guys who fought and flew. Written by a former F-16 pilot. Here's a link to it on Amazon if ya wanna pick it up...

Marines are a little weird with their whole process, especially for officers, (and even more so for aviation officers). It seems like the physical fitness test is separate completely from MEPS. I use that for my boards application, which (according to my understanding) is like a final review...

I smell infringement! Just kidding; this seems like a pretty good cause.

Thank you! And I had to go through the basic MEPS medical to become an officer (which I'm still waiting to hear back from), and then if that goes through fine I'll have to go to Chicago or Florida for the more thorough Aviation Medical Exam.
