    How to fin A&P?

Well my mechanic just tapped out on me. He is going to meet with me to show me how to go over log books and what to look for though. The broker is also an A&P. I called some of the other local airports and it seems he has a pretty good reputation. Do you think that between my mechanic...

    How to fin A&P?

I got an email showing a reply but it's not coming up on the board. It's a Piper Cherokee 140 down in Crockett. I started another thread for that but double exposure doesn't hurt. :) I called the airport but as it turns out, the broker with the plane is also the local A&P. I called the...

    How to fin A&P?

Well, the problem I am running in to is his schedule. If we get a fast plane to go down there we might can squeeze it in on Friday. But I also don't want him hurrying to try and get home and miss something important. Additionally, a fast plane means more gas for me to get us all down there...

Looking for an A&P in the Crockett, TX area.

In a continuation from my other thread, I am looking for an A&P to do a prebuy on a Cherokee 140 down in Crockett, TX. If anyone here knows of some good guys feel free to give me a shout. Thanks

    How to fin A&P?

How to find an A&P? I am looking at a plane down southeast of Dallas and thought I had a mechanic lined up to fly down with me to look at it. He is getting flakey on me and I think I'd like to just drive down there and use a local mechanic for a pre-buy and ferry permit. I'm not sure...

NA - What boat is this?

Anything should be better that the 15ft john boat I've been using the last two years. Hanging a rope ladder off of the front will make you have to work for it. :goofy:

NA - What boat is this?

Because I can buy the whole thing for less than the value of the trailer. And because I'm also a diver and most of the place I go are only accessible by boat. I was able to figure out the make from the registration numbers today. It is a 1974 Stern Craft according to Texas Parks and...

NA - What boat is this?

Well I have two pictures of the out drive but both are at an angle such that I cannot read the tag.

NA - What boat is this?

If it makes a difference the boots and u-joints were done at the time of the engine. Or should I do it just because of the 5 years of sitting?

NA - What boat is this?

So I came across this boat the other day while cruising around. I was able to get in touch with the owner but he doesn't know what make or model it is (He's 72 and has owned the boat for awhile). Sorry for the very bad pictures but it was the best I could grab with all the stuff around it...

    The Plane That Got Away

I should have, but he called me and told me Monday. The plane was on its way to a new home on Thursday. I didn't even have time to think about it.

    The Plane That Got Away

The Cherokee 180 that I rented from the owner for 2 years. He would have sold it to me for $18k. Sold it to someone else while I was trying to get the money together. :mad2:

    Reno Air Races Volunteer Needed

If someone happens to be flying through Oklahoma on their way up I'll split fuel with you. :) That's about the only way I could make it up there to volunteer. I'd do it in a heartbeat otherwise.

Q for Henning and all of the other boat guys

The time isn't an issue. We have 50 acres to store it and it would be a fun way to waste time. Money is an issue though; my broke ass needs a plane :). I don't see many $5k houseboats/barges around here. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places?

Q for Henning and all of the other boat guys

So I guess if I feel like using it for a not boat application I should go ahead and pick it up but just forget about it ever being it the water again huh? Probably a smart move. Or just let someone else try and move it. Kind of sad though. I was thinking of all the fun things that...

Q for Henning and all of the other boat guys

I am most definitely not a shipwright or a sailor. I have very limited experience with boats in general. The best I have is a 20ft deck boat that I did quite a bit of work on. I am getting it from a boat storage facility. The PO brought it in as a full houseboat and stripped it down to...

Q for Henning and all of the other boat guys

I have come across a 42x12 fiberglass houseboat hull. It is free if I can haul it away. I have the means to haul it but I wanted to ask about it on here first. A little setup: I don't know much about boats and I don't know anything about boat building. I am not very skilled with glass...

Just booked Reno -- Anyone Else Going?

I went last year. Walked off the plane as the P-51 went in. I want so badly to go this year but my vacation to Reno last year wiped me out. It's a shame, I kind of want to see the races before they can't get insurance anymore.

    College Textbook Scam!

All you need is a DSLR and scantailor. I can do a 600 page law book in about 2 hrs and all I have to carry is my 7 pound laptop for all of my classes. Just go find a friend that did buy the book and borrow it for an evening.
