    People that annoy you...

That's what I do. You'd be amazed at how many times you STILL have to slow down.

    Laundryzoned

The problem with most of those girls is that they eat up the aviation budget.

:rofl::rofl: So...is this an exclusive offer or do you offer it to the other board members as well?

    Super high time engine

I believe there was a recent court case where a mechanic shop was found liable for an engine failure on a 337 that crashed. I think that engine wasn't even at TBO yet and they were found liable because they let the owner continue flying it?

    [NA] Wireless Headset recommendations sought

So after doing some more reading I believe I can use these dongles as a "hands free" device while talking on the phone. What I can't seems to find out is if these cheaper ones will only use their built in mic or if they are compatible with a TRRS cable with a mic in it. Does anyone know...

    [NA] Wireless Headset recommendations sought

As an early Christmas present I "inherited" a set of Bose QC15 with a U-flymic. Unfortunately I haven't had the chance to fly with them yet but they are AMAZING for long road trips by yourself. It's amazing how much better you feel when you don't have to listen to all of that noise. That...

N/A - A Fuel Additive that Actually Works

I own a VW diesel and read about them quite a lot. I've never heard of this. I know on occasion you have to clean out the intake side, but never heard anything about the exhaust. Can you point me to this? I might need to check mine out.

What's the scrap value of a Traumahawk?

This is what I'm thinking too. I thought it would be a fun idea to think about. I'll keep the ad to see if I can get it cheap enough down the road. at 11k I doubt it sells. I do have the equipment to move the airframe with the wings off, and I could probably figure out how to take the wings...

What's the scrap value of a Traumahawk?

The thing is, I'm not looking for a plane like this to keep for a long time. I was thinking of just buying it to fly and then scrap. If I'm going to buy a plane to hang on to, I might as well just wait until I can afford something I can do something with.

What's the scrap value of a Traumahawk?

I'm not a huge fan of 150s. I'm not a small guy and feel a little squished when I get into one. That's one thing I do like about the Piper, I don't feel scrunched into it. Not saying I wouldn't be interested, just stating my preference :). That Sundowner is interesting, but it seems like I...

What's the scrap value of a Traumahawk?

That is what I'm thinking as well. The only real thing that makes me consider it is that, as a flight school plane, it got regular use. I hear the occasional story about engines lasting way past TBO just because they get used often.

What's the scrap value of a Traumahawk?

The radio appears to just be a KX-170b and I don't know of anyone putting a o-235 into anything anymore. Even planes that were designed for them have O-320s at a minimum.

What's the scrap value of a Traumahawk?

That's what I'm trying to determine. He is asking $11k for it, but I would only offer what I felt I could get back out of it in parts or scrap. The thing that draws me to this plane over most EAB planes in this range is its two-seat capability. I like the extra room when solo and the...

What's the scrap value of a Traumahawk?

I am curious on what the true "scrap value" is on a 1978 Traumahawk. I have come across one that is nearing its 11,000 hr limit for sale. Unfortunately it also has a 2700 hr engine in it. My thought was to buy it with a fresh annual and fly it as hard as I possibly could for one year. Then...

Wow, we pay $5.29 for our 100ll out the door here in small airport Oklahoma. Makes me feel a little better about paying it.

    The 55 MPG airplane

There is a guy at my airport that talks about running super LOP in his RV. I think he has one set of spark plugs set for normal operation and the other set to fire at something like 30* before TDC to ignite the lean mixture. Those numbers may be off but that's what he does.

    Saratoga vs. Malibu vs. ??

Not that I don't agree with you, but it takes a while to come down from 20k feet. That's time that you can find a better landing spot. I think I remember the one that went into the gulf taking 25 minutes to come down? The Coast Guard beat them to the rescue. Depending on where you are, you...
