FlyBlackBird.com: Yet another desires to be the Uber of the Skies

Have flights actually been operating on this? Or is this just the startup/marketing phase?

FlyBlackBird.com: Yet another desires to be the Uber of the Skies

Wouldnt your own personal aircraft need to be on part 135 to make this legal? Also I would think just like uber, the owners would also be the pilots/drivers... no one wants someone else to fly their airplane. Awesome concept but I fear it's still ahead of its time.

Ethiopian Airlines Crash; Another 737 Max

I feel like if it were terrorism some organization would have claimed responsibility by now. Seems like terrorist organizations LOVE to say hey we did that after such attacks. Hopefully the CVR and FDR will give much further insight.

    Saratoga possibility

Looks nice I like the new interior alot! Recent factory reman engine is a huge plus. That is defintely one of the more expensive engines to overhaul. Still scratch my head everytime I see those turbo engine cowls. Have no idea what piper was thinking at the time. As far as price I'm not really...

    411 0n Cessna 177 Cardnial

Been flying in a friend's weekly. Nice plane. Handles nicely, a little trickier to land than a C172 if your used to that but easy to adjust to. Very big doors which is awesome. Seems a tad bit more roomy than a C172. My friends is a C177B. He likes to run it at 21" 2200 RPM. At about 3500-5500...

    First plane purchase- Piper Dakota

Maybe 3/4ths but not 1/2 for that Dakota. It will sell. The current market for them and 182's is truly ridiculous for what they are right now at least in my opinion.

    First plane purchase- Piper Dakota

I have been bitten by the "engine/compressions is running strong but over TBO" thing on my first aircraft a Cherokee Warrior. Only advice I could give you from my past experience is if your buying a plane with the engine being over TBO, have the funds or be prepared for an overhaul immediately...

How is the twins market ?

I found this earlier seems like a great deal for the price. Shame it's in Europe. http://www.aso.com/listings/spec/ViewAd.aspx?id=176628 Try finding a bonanza/saratoga with new paint/interior/ low time engine and decent avionics pack for even close to what they are asking for this Seneca! Twins...

Alton Bay, that's not going to buff out....

I just had a friend tell me about this ice runway last weekend. Thought this kind of stuff was reserved for pro Bush pilots only but apparently lots and lots of people fly in and land here. Looks like an exciting mission but also doesnt seem very forgiving. Friend of mine told me you cant use...

    For Bonanza owners.

It seems that bonanzas fetch a bit of a premium based on year. If you looked at a 2005 SR22 vs a 2005 A36, the bonanza would defintely be more. I think part of it has to do with the huge amount of Cirrus aircraft of that vintage on the market. Also I wasn't trying to take a dig at the bonanza...

    Flew through a TFR.

An update for everyone.. Almost 3 months later now and I have not heard a thing. Maybe the recent government shutdown has played a role in their delayed respone??? or maybe I got lucky and have flown under the radar??? No pun intended lol

    For Bonanza owners.

A lot of the Bonanza owners I feel always want to talk about how "strong and solid" the Bo is made and how its built to MIL spec... I feel like issues like this are a lot too common as well as its extensive AD list on critical components. Am I wrong? Only asking because I'm kind of in between in...

    Saratoga best for my flying?

What is your true airspeed at that fuel burn? (13-14GPH)
  19. AnthonyS1

Cant tell if good deal. 1st plane

Also plan for the engine overhaul costing more than 15k. I would say 20k at an absolute minumum.

    Saratoga best for my flying?

How come the Saratoga seems to burn so much more fuel than the bonanza/cirrus and is still about 15 knots slower??? Can the lycoming in the saratoga not be ran LOP? The saratoga IISP I had time in did about 155ktas at 18GPH. Very spacious and roomy cabin even more so upfront it seemed than the...
