    Another ramp worker ingested

Safety briefings don’t mean much when these ramp worker walk and drive around with AirPods in, texting, watching videos, etc. I spent years working on the ramp, it is fast paced, chaotic, and deadly.

    Quick back to back approaches…..Normal?

This is one of those times where people relying on the iPad as the main source of navigation will cause problems. As a CFII, I don’t wanna see you touch that iPad until you get the GPS set, then look at the approach plate. Then if there is time you can put the plan into foreflight.

Flying club members/owners: what’s your AOG policy?

Of the problem was not due to anything the pilot, I think the club should funds should cover the expenses. Now if the pilot locked up the brakes and blew a tire, etc. Then yes, he should be responsible.

    Flying clubs questions

Just watch out for schools that try to sell themselves as clubs. The main difference I have seen is school planes are usually beat into the ground. A legit club usually has more care and attention into their planes.

    IMC the whole fight?

I try to get up once a month and knock out an approach to two with a safety pilot. When I do get up in actual, it’s still a whole different experience than foggles.

Check with local gun shops and see if any offer the UTAH CCW course. That give the ability to carry in a lot of states. They do it here in NY, usually an 8 maybe 16 hour course.

    Another disappointing ForeFlight change

FF is becoming so bloated with garbage features while taking away features that have been very good. All the while jacking up their price.

    Short field training

A good CFI should be doing more than the ACS, JEPP, Gliem, Etc. I students to do tailwind landings so they can experience it. I do stalls, slow flight, steep turns under the floggles so they can experience it. One of that is covered in ACS, or and syllabus.
