    Someone busting Milwaukee TFR...

They usually use Coast Guard and other DHS helicopters in the DC SFRA. I don’t expect they are really excited to shoot down a GA plane over a populated area without some really aggressive display of intent.

    Medical Wait Time!

Yup. And in fact, their budgets have increased every single year. Lass work for more money. It's called ‘Parkinson’s Law’

    CFI Responsibility

The PIC discussion seems only relevant if the FAA want's to give somebody a 709 ride which seems quite possible. The FAA is not much of a factor in who pays for repairs. Perhaps it's a data point in a civil action, but I doubt it. Sometimes being an owner is expensive. This is one of those times.

    EAA life membership value?

Doesn't make sense for me, though I like EAA and I could probably rationalize it as a donation. I did gift a life membership to my son when he got his ticket. I'm sure he'll get my money's worth out of it... :)

Pvt Pilot as Passenger local day Part 91 Sightseeing Flt (not 135). Gets to fly and logs it all PIC?

Ignorance is bliss I guess.... CFI's that can't/won't read regulations is a little bit scary. This is pretty simple. Not all regulations are clear, but this one is. There should be a flow chart.

Pvt Pilot as Passenger local day Part 91 Sightseeing Flt (not 135). Gets to fly and logs it all PIC?

This is not hard. Category and Class Matter. Currency, endorsements, medical, Don't matter.

    Supreme Court: Chevron Deference

Regulations can be ambiguous. Some of us will interpret the vagueness in our favor and others will interpret them the way to make it easy for the bureaucrats or to the way they think they "want" it. Some will write to the FAA chief counsel for their version. There are many of these out there...

Did not know about ADHD restrictions when I got my medical. What do I do?

There is no conclusive study to say that FAA medicals help at all. The most recent formal study (link here), found that pilots under BasicMed do not have a statistically significant increase in accidents. The next logical step is eliminating medicals for class 3 entirely and perhaps study it...

Did not know about ADHD restrictions when I got my medical. What do I do?

I would bet any amount of money that you'd be willing to match that there are pilots flying on first class medicals who lied on previous medical applications.

    Supreme Court: Chevron Deference

All of it passed and was signed, but Chevron doesn't touch the underlying laws. Not confused at all. It applies to the admin side, like you said. As long as they "comply with the civil law" nothing changed. Courts are full of cases where the prosecution says someone violated the law and the...

    Supreme Court: Chevron Deference

Except when they're not.... The issues arise when there is ambiguity in the laws. Now, post Chevron, the laws will be interpreted by the courts, not the agency bureaucrats. For example, when you see a Chief counsels opinion letter and go WTF, you generally have to treat is as a valid...

Did not know about ADHD restrictions when I got my medical. What do I do?

^^^This, so much this. Honestly we all know people who avoid the doctor to avoid getting a diagnoses.

What is required to be insured to fly a KingAir C90 for Part91?

25 or more hours with a mentor pilot are pretty common in addition to flight safety or similar. The 30K number seems off, but in a twin turbine, checks that size or more are not uncommon

EliQuis (a blood thinner) and Basic Med

It's not one of the big 3 and has no requirement to see the FAA at all. You need not involve the FAA Get your Doctors advice and determine if you're safe to fly.

    Potomac Airfield VKX

I was based at VKX before moving West (before the the FRZ). I did my tailwheel endorsement there. I like the airport, and the FRZ is not really a big deal once you jump through the hoops. 2W5 is very close, and the savings in time waiting in line for takeoff elsewhere is a good tradeoff...

    Time between filing and flying

And to add more It’s one pilot per N number, you don’t actually need to be the owner. You don’t need to have ForeFlight. The text is useful, and yes, it’s the actual clearance. But with ForeFlight it can auto load, and with the right interface, load into a GTN. No typing.

    Time between filing and flying

Not always available, but if you have your own plane and use Foreflight, you can register for pre-departure clearance (PDC) and when you file it will send you a text and load it in Foreflight for you. Tales less than a minute usually. Worth checking out.
