What age is appropriate to start flight lessons?

Never too early really. My kid (the guy in my avatar) started formal instruction at 15, soloed at 16 and got his ticket at 17. Worked well. I love the glider path if there is availability nearby.

    Zenith 750 stol

I’m at the same point on my 750. Leaning heavily to Viking, but haven’t ruled out UL yet. Both sets of actual owners seem very happy.

resuming basic med after 2 years, discontinued meds

Palmpilot is correct. This situation is incorporated into the BasicMed big 3 by reference. But the 15 are very much not limitations. Just the 3.

resuming basic med after 2 years, discontinued meds

FWIW, 14CFR §67.307(a)(4) is for a 3rd class medical, which BasicMed is not.

    Boeing’s on a streak...

I'm not sure why would you'd have two different approaches to suits and then mandate they be the same. Compatibility is fine if that's part of a functional design requirement, but it also forces one or the other to not follow what their engineers consider the optimum design. Of course, one will...

[N/A] What's your blood type and how is your relationship with Mosquitos?

A+ and I don't get bit. Well maybe I do, but growing up in the Everglades I guess I've developed a tolerance to their spit. And yeah, I also eat very spicy food. I'll occasionally put eggs on my hot sauce.

    Leaning during climb

With my EDM 830, i lean to best power and closely monitor CHTs to stay below 400 My AFM says similar things, but it came with only a single probe and full rich keeps it cool. And since you don't actually know the all the CHTs with a single analog probe, it's a safe conservative way. But since...

Grumman AA1 at high density altitude

I have an AA1A with the original 108hp engine. I love it, but, it's not going to work for your mission. You might be OK solo, but with the CFI and stuff you'll have to leave fuel behind. You'll be at or near gross weight on most flights, and it's not happy even at 3500 DA.

Tool box recommendations for future A&P mechanic

For the box, it's not a big deal. A used box from anywhere or the HF General will work fine. For the tools some require quality, some not so much. A high quality (Snap-On?) set of screwdrivers and 1/4" and 1/2" rachets is a good investment. You don't want to make it easy to strip a screw or nut.

    Timebuilding Airplane

Seaplanes are a blast. Are you near seaplane friendly water? As land planes, they are pretty compromised. Also, have you priced insurance? Insurance for even a high time ASES holder is scary.espically an amphib. I have an AA1A and it is 5he perfect time builder.

    ForeFlight versions

Foreflight is very full featured and easy to upgrade. Basic has everything you need now, stick with it till you run out of useful features and then press the button to upgrade to learn and use more. Keep it simple. Maybe it's my military background but I strongly believe in training like...
