Looking for a hangar to rent near Love field, near Dallas.

That is the kind I like. It is perfect for my light sport flying. It is just a little too far away from me, or else I would base there. Hangars are impossible to find where I am.

If flying is his passion, he can still have a career as a CFI sport pilot without a medical (if he does not apply for a medical and get denied)

This probably isn't what he is looking for, but this craigslist ad is for open front hangars in Justin TX for $125 month. https://dallas.craigslist.org/ndf/avo/d/justin-hangars-open-front/7584884588.html

    Shelf life of barreled AVGAS

Fuel keeps your airplane in the air. In todays age of liability, I doubt you will find anybody who is willing to say it is okay to use expired fuel, regardless of what they think. I used to fly out in the middle of the Pacific too, and all Avgas came in 55 gallon drums. We used it up so fast...

LSA enclosed enclosed, under $15000 search

FWIW, it is still possible to buy a used, airworthy lsa spec airplane under $15k, especially if you are willing to buy one with some of the unconventional converted automotive engines. I have seen Avid fliers with Subaru engines, even Kitfox II's and others. They might be experimental amateur...

You were being a good parent, trying to give your son the best advantages for a prosperous and fulfilling life. Maybe he wouldn't have been so well adjusted as he is now if you didn't get him help early on, so you can't have remorse now for being a good parent. I wish it was not this way, but...

LSA enclosed enclosed, under $15000 search

This is the cheapest factory built truly SLSA airplane with a decent engine on it that I have been able to find. I called the dealer to make sure it wasn't an old advertisement, but they said it is the current price. It is still a lot more $ than your target, but have you seen the price of new...

LSA enclosed enclosed, under $15000 search

I am sure if you searched long enough, you could find a very old article on the internet where a brand new Bonanza was $15k. You will have to fight off all the pop up ads to see it.

I applaud you for supporting your son. Surely there are medically certified pilots that exhibit similar quirks as your son. Probably the only difference between them and your son is that they were never diagnosed by a doctor, or maybe never even seen a doctor for anything other than physicals...

LSA enclosed enclosed, under $15000 search

The problem with the internet is that there are websites that recirculate articles that are years old with years old prices . They look like current articles, but who knows how old they are. Click bait bonanzas.

    1st Class EKG Question

Interesting. I did not know that I could walk into urgent care and tell them to give me a diagnostic test just because I want it. I wonder if they will do x-rays? I try to get x-rays done every year to monitor a condition, but imaging centers won't do it without a doctor's order, even though...

When you want to justify buying new tools, just let your friends borrow your old ones. You will never get them back.

    1st Class EKG Question

I am curious. When going to urgent care to have "ECG done to determine if any issues ahead of time", don't they have to put a reason (symptoms) why the ECG was ordered? Is that going to pose more problems?

I look for preservative free because some of the preservatives (especially BAK) actually makes my dry eyes worse.

Free PilotBnB: would you do it?

Maybe If it were set up as a members only club where every member offered reciprocal courtesies. Otherwise, it is just charity. It is hard these days to be altruistic without being taken advantage of.

Should I buy a plane... or Not?

Correct me if I am wrong, but it kinda sounds like you are an over-achiever adrenaline junkie (meant to be a compliment, not putting you down). Aviation is exciting and fascinating as long as you can keep achieving higher goals. Go ahead and get the CFI, then CFII, multi, and keep climbing the...
