    O-200 Life Expectancy

Yep, I check there regularly. Great site. Unfortunately, there are very few places anywhere near us in SE PA that sell ethanol free mogas. Those that do generally seem to offer 100 octane racing fuel at $10/gallon, which really defeats the purpose. Pure-gas doesn't show anybody selling ethanol...

    O-200 Life Expectancy

Let me know if you come across a consistent source for ethanol free mogas around us. I'd like to get the STC but can't find any place close that would make it worthwhile. I asked (begged) Sky Manor to get it but there doesn't seem to be much interest. Closest place I've found is a garage on the...

    Make my own checklists?

Here is a link to a bunch of checklists that others have already created. I also have a 150M and use the first one from "Dauntless Software." http://freechecklists.net/Resources/Cessna/150+Commuter/

    NavStrobe Position Lights

That was going to be my next question. The spruce ad says that they meet the TSO requirements but does not specifically say that these are TSO'd. Not sure how to interpret this. The q&a section does explicitly say that these meet FAA 20-74 and don't even require a logbook entry.

    NavStrobe Position Lights

Hey Jim - Thanks for pointing me to that thread. Somehow I had missed that discussion. I am still interested in getting the feedback of someone who has installed the new lights. I've gotten lots of feedback that the older cylinder style were cheaply made, fit loosely in the socket, and...

    NavStrobe Position Lights

Has anybody on here installed the new NavStrobe led position lights? If so, can you provide a quick PIREP? I am particularly interested in the new paddle style, not the old cylinder ones that were widely known to cause RFI...

Installing a new nose wheel tube - Cessna 150

Thanks, everyone. I used baby powder. I made the repair first thing this morning and everything went very smoothly. Took me about 1.5 hours start to finish, including driving home from the airport to work on the wheel in my garage. I'm back in business. Jim

Installing a new nose wheel tube - Cessna 150

Thanks guys. I've reviewed the service manual and think I have a pretty good sense of the steps. Going to give it a shot. Jim

Installing a new nose wheel tube - Cessna 150

I got a flat this weekend on the nose wheel of my Cessna 150 and it looks like I need to replace the tube. I think that the process is pretty straightforward and I have a basic understanding of the steps, but I've never done this before. Any tips/tricks from those that have been there and done...

    Battery Replacement

I am in the same boat as the op, needing to replace the battery in my '76 150M. I currently have a Gill G25 but would like to replace with the comparable Concorde RG-25. The Concorde looks to be a PMA'd replacement. Can I make the swap with just a logbook entry? Jim

    2013 Camp Scholler

Didn't make it to the forums today. Man, it's tough keeping a 9-year-old occupied, even at Airventure. We are chilling back in Camp Scholler. Carter has made some buddies. Hope to get a second wind and get back to the show for the evening entertainment. If I don't see you before hand, we will...

    2013 Camp Scholler

Carter and I arrived late yesterday afternoon. We are near 28th and Cedar. It's a little ways out but we are next to the ultralight emergency runway and the farm field so we have some space. We will try and find you guys today or tomorrow to say hi. Jim
