As a maintainer at the ENJPT base, I’ve heard the T-7 has been pushed back a few years. Reminds me of the KC-46 that is replacing the -135 that I’m also a maintainer on. I’m hoping by the time both these birds roll out that I’m flying for a living instead of doing NDI inspections on them.

What would you say is more important, keeping nose down center or using the ailerons? I know that’s a loaded question as both are needed though.

I will keep this in mind next time. Stick toward direction needed to get back to centerline and feet to point down runway.

Had thought of this also. But I also don’t necessarily want to be starting over at 25 or so hours. CFI says my pattern work is spot on, just these windy landings suck when I’m in ground effect and having to try and get back on centerline all the time.

So I’m having issues landing in winds. Really anything about 15knots. I get crabbing on final, but when I get into ground effect, my brain freezes and I’m stuck trying to remember what aileron to throw in and then it still perplexes my brain to go opposite rudder. I have some great landings...

Cobra kai is there and now known as aerospace next and they are the ones I’ve been told to stay away from by multiple people.

Does anyone happen to know of any CFIs in the Wichita Falls area? I’m completely hitting a dead end at trying to learn to fly in this area. Seems all the great places art 90 miles away around DFW minus a flight school here that I’ve been told to avoid at all cost.

In the process of getting a new CFI at only 4 hrs in. And in the world as far as making progress not much other than accumulate my 4 hours and trying to always learn something new every day from reading and asking other pilots questions.

Thanks for this. No medical history, but I will look into those strips on Amazon. Like I said I want to make sure I can get a first class medical. But then again, if it expires in 6 months then not sure I won’t to keep repeating the process until I’m ready for an airline starting from 0 hours.
