Stache is correct. How may of you have a compass card without the "radio on" box checked? If the compass was swung without the radios on &/or without the radio on box checked, you are not legal to fly IFR. Maybe a regular AP or an owner would not know this & forget to check the box...

Maybe the first step should be to get you credit report & correct any mistakes... This can take a long time even if it is an obviously wrong item. Then talk to a mort broker and give them a copy of your report with your SS # blanked out. Shop with you report copy & dont give out you social #...

This time of day i would bet it was a anfib going to land lower in the east river. You can fly up the east river to 59th st. At 72st you need to be talking to LGA tower. LGA usually wont let a regular fixed on the east river this time of day, but you can get FF 1500 @ ft sometimes.

1500-2000 ft with great vis..7-12 miles

I guess the good point is that is wasn't on the west side. It mush have been talking to LGA tower. I am guessing that it was either a helicopter or an anfib.
