Taboo thread - How do we afford to fly?

In other parts of the internet I frequent, people are more often open about how they make and spend money. Thought giving it a shot here could be interesting. I’ve always been curious how people are able to afford such nice airplanes. I looked for similar threads, but didn’t find any. In the...

Want To Buy Headset for a toddler

My kiddo uses A-20s (he’s 2.5). They fit him just fine. After a few hours in the plane though they start to hurt his ears. We now put a hat (think winter hat) over his ears and then his headset and that seems to do the trick.

    Yet another rating/endorsement order question

I have seen the following order referenced as the best/most efficient order, but it seems entirely geared towards those looking to go commercial. Private, Instrument, Commercial, ME, CFI, CFII, MEI. I have no such aspirations. I’d ultimately like my HP, Complex, Multi, and Instrument in the...

    Aviation Weather Course

I just scheduled my PPL checkride and was told my examiner is really into weather. I feel I am weaker on weather than I would like to be. I did the Sportys PPL course, and see they have a weather specific course as well. Has anybody done it - does it overlap a ton with the weather content in the...
