I ditched the RAM suction mount for the Stratus ( which kept falling off ) for one from Fly Boys which appears to be a Panavise suction mount. Has never fallen off. Now, I am flying today and a bit over the next few days, so there's that.... ;)

Not running dry, you could have 12 gallons of fuel, but only 3 gallons in each tank o_O. So it just depends on how tight one is running the fuel reserves. BTW, if you run main dry on the Comanche, you'll find it doesn't hold 30 gallon but 28, hence the 2 gallons unusable.

@ least it wasn't a cotton stripper, who knows what would have come off the aircraft...

Ask your E911 folks how many false alerts they get. Maybe it's better now, I've heard is was a problem.

It's going to get worse. The younger generation look @ this much differently. They're not as interested in 'advancement' as they are in 'contentment'. It will get harder to find someone to work 36 hours straight in a few years.

We had DA's close to 4K' yesterday afternoon, 90 miles west. I'll second, not many good option departing 14. Sounded like they were going west though, if toward Margaritaville.

Had a friend go down from KS, they arrived early, thought he said they waited 2.5 hours to get in. Sounded like they had a much larger turnout than they expected. BTW, he loved the F-35. Marc
