I don't know of a GPS or FMS that asks for the desired radial to hold on, but I suppose that may be useful. Our FMS in the CJ3 asks us for the inbound course. In the case of a hold with an assigned radial, that would just be the reciprocal value.

You want to set the inbound COURSE when selecting the OBS. With a COURSE of 180 set, you will be given GPS course guidance along the 360 degree radial.

Not really, if you hold an ATP with multi engine land privileges no written exam is required for a single-engine add on.

See 61.159, 1500 TT. If you can't make that within 2 years of July 2014, then you will likely have to take the ATP CTP prior to the knowledge test. http://www.faa.gov/pilots/training/atp/

I don't have any numbers for the Eclipse, but the mid to upper 30's works quite well for fuel economy on a long trip in the Mustang. You will eat up fuel at FL300. It doesn't like FL410 that much though, unlike the larger Citations in the fleet which love FL410 and above.

They will sometimes give you a hard time if you're VFR, if it's busy. Otherwise, it's not a big deal. Except for the ramp fee. HND and VGT are both easy options VFR if they don't let you into LAS quickly

I used American Flyers last time but recently saw a video advertisement for AOPA's new eFIRC which looked pretty good. (Will probably try that next time.)
