Do You Have Fun At Your Lessons?

Sounds like my instructor, who now charges $85/hr. When I started with him back in 2004, he charged $40/hr. He's always been worth it. For $85/hr, I WANT a fire hose of instruction. Fun, I can have on my own time. Sounds to me like your instructor is being extremely efficient with you, and...

    [NA]Advice for newbie; off-road event[NA]

As someone who has owned and loved a Land Rover ('93 Range Rover County LWB) and now owns an '05 Toyota Land Cruiser.... well.... I loved the Land Rover. Would buy another one. Would NOT take it out in the boonies unless there was a Toyota cruising with me.

Do You Have Fun At Your Lessons?

"Fun" is a strange word. I found my PPL rewarding, enjoyable the vast majority of the time, and usually fun, I guess. "Fun," at least to me, connotes something that is entertaining, puts a smile on your face, and might even make you laugh a bit, while not being necessarily productive nor with...

    Underwear that'll change your life

On a borderline related topic.... Duke Cannon soap is great, too. Fun ad copy, great soap, and it supports vets. Can't beat it.

A parting gift for the contestant....

Very nice. I got a cheap battery-operated quartz movement made-in-China plastic desk clock. Retiring from that gig was one of the best things I've ever done. Beautiful watch... many years of enjoyment to you!

They most definitely are, and most definitely should be stopped from doing so by the mods. Based on past practice, shots at religion here are allowed to a much greater degree than posts by believers defending their beliefs.

    Aviation cartoon of the day

On top of the plot creativity and humor, one of the other many things that I LOVE about those old cartoons is the music. Written and PLAYED by MUSICIANS on INSTRUMENTS.. not computer generated. Great orchestration and playing of some very difficult scores.

If the president is jogging, is it "Sneaker One" and "Sneaker Two?" Which is the left one?

Was Called a Gullible Moron Today

Thank you. Couldn't agree with you more strongly. An additional fact is that we, individually, are MUCH more capable of helping others more efficiently and at less cost than the government is. When I give a dollar to my neighbor, he gets a dollar. If I give a dollar to the government to help...
