    Crock pot vs. Instant Pot

Yeah, I was just heading back here to correct my poor choice of wording from “litigation” to “liability avoidance”. I’ve seen no evidence of litigation online, just speculation of possible liability in having food in the “unsafe range” for too long.

    Crock pot vs. Instant Pot

Got one that has High, Low, Warm. Warm is still too hot. Going shopping at Good Will for an old pre-litigation model.

    Crock pot vs. Instant Pot

New crockpots (tm) apparently have been lawerized and now all cook too hot, in my opinion. A quick google search agrees.

    Why I moved away...

Would rather have the white stuff on the ground here right now than the dark white/grey/black stuff in the air... This is when the Troublesome fire blew up on Friday. We were maybe 15 miles south.

    Where introduce myself?

We had plans for a few years to come visit Italy where my wife was going to attend an art retreat and I was going to get my seaplane rating at Lake Coumo. COVID and other life changes have put that plan on an indefinite hold. I spent a few port calls in Naples complements of the US Navy...

Nearly 3 decades ago in "Cannibal Queen"

I shared a letter here that a hostile under the pattern dweller sent to our club a few months ago. I think with so many people working from home, they're finding new things to complain about, and noticing the traffic overhead that they weren't home to see in the past years.

Go on Basic Med - what am I missing ?

Because in my case, 3rd class with SI for sleep apnea, I had to see my AME every year. For a 3rd class. Basic Med is much easier.

Hypothetically speaking ... SI type event while on Basic Med?

Thanks, Nate. Appreciate the words, especially in light of your situation. I started a training session with Able Shepherd, in Centennial Gun Club's original building. Looks like it will keep me engaged in that world for a while. Greg

    24 months grounded

My friends in our (now their) flying club have offered shared rides in the future, and one of the CFIIs there is a close friend, so I hope to take them up on their offers to stay in the air. If and when I choose to pursue reinstatement of my medical, and good Lord willing, I succeed, and get...

double posting this here and in Hangar Talk ... today I resigned from my flying club and begin a 24 month grounding, with hopes of re-evaluating my medical situation in 24 months or so.
