What should I buy? (Car edition)

They did, but that's not the important part. They added torque and more importantly cleaned up the torque curve.

What should I buy? (Car edition)

BTW, Mustangs and Camaros are great and rather inexpensive(relatively) sports cars these days depending on the trim.

What should I buy? (Car edition)

New one is better. I haven't driven Si in a while. I've driven an old BRZ. Even if it is faster, it felt very slow. Until you get to corners :).

What should I buy? (Car edition)

Sorry, pretty hard no on Altima. And we have a Nissan product in the family. There is nothing GTiish about it and that transmission is pretty junk

What should I buy? (Car edition)

Veloster :). Honestly, no idea if you are looking for new or used and what the budget is. But if it's similar to GTi you are looking for(depending on transmission choice too): Civic(ideally Si), FocusST, Veloster(N!), Stinger, Elantra(N)(though i think it's ugly). Id stay away from DSG type...

    Uber from fond du lac?

Solo(or 2), shuttle is the way to go. 3+ people, Uber can be a little cheaper than shuttle(or about the same). But it is not cheap. I wouldn't want to be doing it every day 2x. Even shuttle(unless solo). Rental car looks better at that point. If you can find it. Even closer and more...

Does Ukraine Have the Capacity for a Doolittle Raid.

true. However, a couple of weeks ago Ukraine claimed they hit a docked Russian ship. There is a video, no hits in it

Does Ukraine Have the Capacity for a Doolittle Raid.

Does Ukraine Have the Capacity for a Doolittle Raid.

There are a lot possibilities here. Most involve Russian incompetence (not that it’s better for them than missile hit) 1. Missile hit 2. Missile shot and missed, but in defending they mishandled ammo or something else 3. Fire 4. They hit own mine 5. Sabotage(not likely I would think) All...

Does Ukraine Have the Capacity for a Doolittle Raid.

Glad to see this thing sunk, but I’m not fully convinced Ukraine hit it. Moskva had plenty defense systems and Neptune wasn’t even in service before the war started. It was still being tested with some ways to go in development. It’s not exactly the first time Ukraine claims hitting a Russian...

    Russian planes stuck in Dubai.

So you are of the opinion shared with me that the article is BS and they choose(of a few available choices) to stay there rather than being actually stuck

    Russian planes stuck in Dubai.

I'm perfectly happy that they are stuck, i'm just curious what exactly makes them stuck there

    Russian planes stuck in Dubai.

They hurriedly flew to Dubai to escape sanctions. But now, more than 100 private jets owned by Russian Oligarchs are grounded in Dubai... https://luxurylaunches.com/travel/oligarch-private-jets-stuck-in-dubai.php According to the article the planes are stuck there because no one will insure...

BFR Anything Else? Commercial Worth It?

There aren't really any tangible(other than skills) benefits from commercial rating unless you are planning on using it(which could be a future benefit of course). And I say that as someone who did just that. I mostly did it because I needed an excuse to fly at the time. A goal helped. You get...

Upgrading to a better aircraft a bad thing?

I don’t know what you were doing, but it paid pretty well. Even 1989’s 30K is about 70K today. Back then the minimum wage was around $7K/ year.

Upgrading to a better aircraft a bad thing?

I'm not making any judgement on how doable it is, but $30K in 1980 is over $100K in 2022. And that does not take into account aircraft industry inflation which is considerably higher than your normal inflation.

Tesla Hit & Run - SOLVED!!! (long)

Many do. I prefer my car not to record anything that may incriminate me. I have a dashcam separate from my car. Doesn't require a $$$$$$ Tesla

As the price of gas at the pump skyrockets

I had a Honda PCX150 for a few years until last year. Prior to pandemic i was using it during Spring to Fall time period to go to work. On highway, 10 min @ 65mph. Then i didn't have to go to work and it was not useful for anything else as I needed to transport a child most everywhere else...

5G: your phone and cell plan in 2022 and beyond

That's correct. But not without its own pitfalls. CarPlay are basically pass through technologies. Everything is on the phone. Car simply displays it and allows interaction. Problem is that you rely on Apple to not change its mind or change its technology. Now, they probably won't for a...

5G: your phone and cell plan in 2022 and beyond

I sort of agree with you. While my car has certain connectivity, I have never used those services beyond free trial period. As such I really do not care(actually I like it as it's less data they get from me). Unfortunately, many/most new cars not only have many things connected to internet...
