Documentation needed for ferry tank 337?

We'd like to fly from the US to Europe and back via the northern route. Sadly, our Mooney's range is just a couple hundred miles too short. I inquired at multiple shops, who are specialized on the installation of ferry tanks, the cheapest offer however was $9,600 with pump, other hardware...

    The use of ground effect.

Not sure how you came up with that, but there is tons of research proofing otherwise. Just google "ground effect aerodynamics research". I guess every pilot also experienced how particularly low wing aircraft tend to float once they get close to the ground. Some birds, like pelicans, also use...

    Safety of ultralights

Modern ultralights are perfectly fine, their engines have also come a long way. If I wouldn't most of the time fly with my wife I'd get one in a heartbeat. I particularly like the Aerolite 103. I checked them out at Sun'n'Fun, they seem to be very well made...

    Kitfox STI ...

Two friends of ours are building Kitfoxes: The kits are top notch and so are the instructions. They also seem to go together fairly quick. If your have any interest in building, I'd say go for it! I guess you're familiar with Trent Palmer's YouTube channel...

    RV -6 kit

...also look at programs like Glasair's Two Weeks To Taxi Program: You spend two week in their factory and leave with a flying aircraft. Perfectly legal, even though the majority of the actual work was done by their staff.

Aero Friedrichshafen 2019: Flight Design F4

The Sling S4 has already proven to achieve these speeds with the same engine. The CT appears to be more slippery, I therefore wouldn't be surprised if these numbers would turn out to be rather conservative.

    Daily Pic

We leave the base permanently on, they are not re-usable (really cheap, though). To remove the base, I found it best to 'cut' the foam adhesive with a braided fishing line. Some of it will remain on the surface but can easily be peeled off without leaving any trace on the paint.

We used one of the adhesive mounts that came with the camera and attached it to the horizontal stabilizer. The mount sticks like crazy, just make sure to clean the surface with alcohol and to install it in a pretty flat area.

Check antenna connections/condition using VSWR meter?

This doesn't tell you if there's an issue with the antenna or for example the insulation of the cable.

Check antenna connections/condition using VSWR meter?

I would think nothing - the average plane owner and I guess many / most mechanics simply never heard of a SWR meter or even an antenna analyzer.

    Eleuthera

I heard this before, the AOPA Bahamas guide however states that you only have to land at the first port of entry if your are north of a certain parallel (i believe the 40th). Since we want to go to Key West after our stay on Eleuthera, I called customs there and they confirmed that we could fly...

I'll try not to forget... ;) 2 friends went there last year, one did the bush flying course, the other the seaplane training. Both had a blast and spoke very highly about Don and his staff.
