    I agree with the comments about using GP garmin pilot is it pops right up. Another feature, it will tell you if you need an alternate when filing. Changing my departure time by 5 minutes was the difference between needing an alternate and not.

    Regarding the Trump Tower TFR that extends over the hudson, when north bound, are we allowed to fly through the TFR as long as we're within the SFRA exclusion zone? Or are we supposed to fly towards oncoming traffic and go around it? Thanks.

    So I have a new IO-360 in my Arrow and I've been breaking it in. I'm thinking about taking it to Chicago for a day trip but the temperatures are expected to be in the low 30's.     Headset comfort: Lightspeed or Bose A20?

    I use a Lightspeed Zulu 2 in the left seat, Bose A20 for the right seat (mic boom is on right side), and Lightspeed Sierras in the back seats. I prefer the Lightspeeds hands down. Plus customer service is the reason I will stand by lightspeed. Bose is awful

    I'm going to take it up for another 4.5 hour flight. My friend says I should fly at 1,000' msl and run WOT/Full RPM/Full Mixture which looks like 93% power. I personally feel like that is running it too hard. I'm curious what everyone here thinks?

    UPDATE: I put the first 6 hours on the engine. I leveled off at 3,000' and flew WOT and used RPM to change % of power. Full Rich Mixture. My question is my CHTs are not dropping. I was told the rings are seated when I noticed a drop in CHT temps. After 6 hours there's still no change...
