Was this just for taking the seats out or for flying under Basic Med? I think the latter has been more problematic because there is some language about "originally certified for 6 seats or less" or something along those lines. Apparently, just removing the 7th seat doesn't cut it.

We flew in on our way to Oshkosh this year. Piece of cake - rental car at the FBO. No reservations for Yellowstone -- waited maybe 5 minutes at the gate before getting in (Thursday afternoon).

For leg 5, there is not much to see from KVIS to KCCR. You might consider heading to the coast and then up the coast, hang a right at the Golden Gate Bridge, cross Alcatraz and direct KAPC.

Some might consider that a whole lot more valuable than a pile of cash.

To your original question - you can certainly do it that way (i.e. written first then training). However, for the PPL, I thought it was useful to be doing both the flight training and the ground at the same time. Both helped fill in gaps in the other. For later ratings, I think this makes...

I listened to him call departure on the liveatc archives and pick up his IFR clearance. He then got switched over to 135.1 and I couldn’t find that one online.

I watched the video and wondered if he had reservations/deposits on the first version. Are those “buyers” cool with a different design? (I suppose you could argue that what they will likely get is unchanged)

I believe the “linen” treatment is a fairly recent addition - it looks great if you’re going for the antique look.

Petaluma is a great airport - but I’m biased! ;) Good services, a number of RV guys on the field. Can get a little busy but nothing approaching the Watsonville-type traffic. There are ultralights and micro lights that fly a tight pattern. Feel free to PM with any questions.
