I flew my plane over 400 parked airplanes in the desert (VIDEO)

Thanks! Tower controller said they have 50 more SouthWest jets coming in soon. I've read they can hold over 500.

I flew my plane over 400 parked airplanes in the desert (VIDEO)

You should! I think they were just happy to have somebody flying around in the pattern :) They were fine with multiple approaches. I did 2 500 AGL approaches on runway 21 and a low approach on 35.

I flew my plane over 400 parked airplanes in the desert (VIDEO)

Victorville, CA is one of the biggest airplane parking lots at the moment due to Covid-19. I flew my Grumman Tiger over there this weekend to check it out. The tower controllers were amazing and let me do a few low-ish approaches.

I wasn’t aware there was one, but I have noticed tons of paragliders there. I’ll have to check it out next time.

    JPI 700 to 730 Upgrade

Plus install of the 730 since the form factor is different. I weighed the options too and, for me at the time, the repair made the most sense.

    COVID-WTF Thread

Of course he wasn't at risk of infecting anyone, but why is this guy above the law that (most) everybody else is adhering to? Nobody likes it, but most reasonable people in the city understand that it's NOT a nonsensical temporary restriction. If you really feel like breaking down the details of...

    COVID-WTF Thread

The beaches are closed. He ignored multiple requests to return to shore. He deserved it. It definitely sucks but that's just where we're at right now.

    One-stop aviation recreation shop?

Alaska Float Ratings in Moose Pass. My dad, a friend and me got our rating there a few years back. Awesome. I’m actually editing a video about it for my YT channel now. I assume this year is a no-go, however.

    Flying videos for your quarantine

Rich, How’s the general aviation scene in Oaxaca? My fiancé is from CDMX and I’d love to fly my plane down there one day. My Tiger is far from the ideal plane for that, but it’s fun to think about.

    Solicitations to a video site

As somebody who has occasionally posted videos on here, this made me laugh. First, I will say I fully understand if you could care less about watching a video. Just like the numerous other threads on here that don't appeal to you, skip it. (kinda like that currently 7 page thread about toilet...

    Mooney down in newhall

Thx. My guess is you could only pull that data from onboard flight computers. I seem to recall seeing that kind of thing in some Cirrus accidents.

    Covid-19 shelter-in-place rules and GA

Let's be honest...the whole situation is pretty depressing. That said, abiding by the order, while certainly not enforced (at this time) is something worth doing for the greater good. While there will always be people out there doing their own thing because "it's their constitutional right"...
