Our 27th Consecutive Oshkosh -- Anyone else going?

IMHO, it all depends on a person's view of what is interesting to "see." I, personally, don't get bored 'cause the land between Denver and Wisconsin is anything but flat for the most part. The patterns and various shades of green can be interesting to see along with some terrain changes that...

Our 27th Consecutive Oshkosh -- Anyone else going?

Good idea, Missa, to put it on my calendar AND POAers meeting so we can stand together. This is the first time I will be there the day the picture is taken!

Our 27th Consecutive Oshkosh -- Anyone else going?

Welcome! When you're at Oshkosh, look for Cessna 195 w/N# 9872A, burgandy over cream color in the vintage section. Maybe we'll be around. 9872A Sharon & Greg

Our 27th Consecutive Oshkosh -- Anyone else going?

Clarification: I use the term "male" because I have very very little experience with being with Greg when talking to women pilots that we have just met.

Our 27th Consecutive Oshkosh -- Anyone else going?

"I reject your reality and insert my own" (Mythbusters)."  Since people are in almost all, if not all, instances asking Greg if the 195 is HIS airplane and there are very few husband/wife teams that fly and...I very rarely hear other pilots ask Greg if his wife is a pilot and...

Our 27th Consecutive Oshkosh -- Anyone else going?

I would qualify a little on the restaurants being closer. None of them except for maybe 1 or 2 are very close to even the North 40 (partially depends where in North 40 you park) so works best for the most part to have a vehicle to get to the restaurants anyway. Having said that, Greg and I...

Our 27th Consecutive Oshkosh -- Anyone else going?

I'm confused, Grant. We will be parking our airplane in vintage...and our car will be parked in a lot near Camp Scholler.

BTW, Ted...it would be nice to have other POAers camped "near" (relatively speaking) to us.

Our 27th Consecutive Oshkosh -- Anyone else going?

Quote: Depends on your views, Michael. To me, events like these are the most fun because of the people that you're around. As such, I want to be where my friends are. If my friends aren't camping with my plane, then my interest in camping with my plane declines. FWIW...The story I hear is...

When is a house like an airplane?

Glad you like it. I still laugh about it to this day. I have to admit, though, that Greg nor I realized how what we had said sounded until we got into the truck...and that's when we burst out laughing.
