Fixed Leg Options for 3-4 people 135 or more kts

I got 135 KTAS at 9000 yesterday in something like ISO+5 conditions, fairly light though with just me and full fuel. 1980 C182Q, 65% power and leaned to peak EGT.

Shop to reseal a Cessna wet wing

If you are having a Cessna wet wing torn down that much, I'd insist on a reseal.

Shop to reseal a Cessna wet wing

I thought I'd provide an update on our particular situation. And it's not a great one :) The years of various shops chasing (badly) this leak created so much buildup of sealant layers inside the tank that it rendered the lower skin of the tank unusable. Attempts to strip this mess out failed...

Looking to get a good bite, a walk around to perhaps see something fun, and a comfy hotel. Off early the next morning.

Trip from NJ to Key West, need a good stopover suggestion

Thank you for all the help, folks. Hoping to make this trip in early April. C182, so really would be a long day of flying to make it all the way, and I'd rather enjoy the flight over the keys anyway.

Feeling in over my head now

Just one comment from me... a 1/2Qt of oil per day leak would make you think the entire airplane was washed in oil. Something sounds wrong about this.

Trip from NJ to Key West, need a good stopover suggestion

As the title suggests, looking for a good stop over in northern to central Florida. I'd rather make the trip down the keys in good daylight. Thanks in advance!

    Rant: Day 36 of annual

Gosh that sucks. We had a scare with the Cessna door post AD, that would have made our annual go from two weeks to two months including trucking the hulk somehwere LOL. Turned out ok but I feel your pain. Good luck.

    First time buyer here.

PA28 180 is a great first airplane. 35k seems short for a 'nice one'. Barnstormers, Controller, and Trade a Plane are the usual haunts for listings. Good luck!

Problems wit AeroCruze 100 install (lack thereof)

This is disappointing to hear. I wonder why they would undermine the product they just bought. Any materials to back this up?

Buying Plane without Panel Mounted GPS

If you had only one in the plane and that one went tango uniform, the IFR flight would have cancelled itself :)

Buying Plane without Panel Mounted GPS

Yes, for IFR having two comm units is vital.

    Forward Slip Question

There's a set of cessna year ranges that have a "no slips with full flaps" restriction, apparently.

Buying Plane without Panel Mounted GPS

Yeah, us too. It's important that all the partners agree on the trajectory of planned upgrades before they buy in. Also, smaller partnerships are more likely to succeed on upgrades, because of fewer families financial variables injected into the process. -G
