Do you have fine-wire plugs? I did and ran into issues with a Surefly that the company attributed to the fine-wire plugs. I was unwilling to switch back to the original plugs. Great customer service at Surefly though. And I suspect some were able to make it work with fine-wire plugs. Just not me.

One of the most enjoyable times was arriving early in the morning on Saturday towards the end of the show. We taxed right up to a front row spot in the North 40 and enjoy the night air show and saw everything at a relaxed pace. Departed early in the morning on Monday and had a blast.

As a former 737 pilot at another airline, we were never taught, nor required to open ANY hatches on the airplane. I really appreciate rampers keeping an eye out for anything that could have been missed (externally), but I also trust our mechanics to do their periodic inspections.

Looks like it would save you 100 miles coming from 44N if you went south of Lake Erie and Lake Michigan. I enjoy flying up the ‘Chicago Fly’ and getting a great backdrop of the city of Chicago. I’ve flown across the lake many times, but only in a multi-engine Boeing or Airbus. And it looks huge...

T-mobile. It’s essentially unlimited data, which means you can also text and use FaceTime audio (iPhone) or Skype to call home. I’ve used it in so many places and I’m always amazed it works so well. I’ll never give up T-mobile for this reason alone. All the others are insanely expensive.
