    Noob seeking advice on SLSAs

Had a Flight Design CTsw for about 3 years and had a blast with it. Flew it from NY to Seattle with my daughter. Made it home in a day and a half. Loved that plane. Sold it because I bought a (180hp Lycoming powered) Husky. Now I fly slower, burn more fuel and don’t have an autopilot or...

    Show off your Plane!

I got tired of hearing my brother rave about how much he loved his Husky, so I finally got one in 2019. As a total coincidence, it matched his airplane and after 150 hours, I’m as thrilled with the dog as he is with his. We managed to get together for a family portrait just after I bought it.

Door to door air cargo… By a private pilot??

How would this be any different from an Angel Flight. Both are volunteer pilots paying for the entire flight with no expectation of compensation or favor.

    GI275 question

Well, Boeing and Airbus don’t give you a feature to ‘zero’ out the pitch attitude. The zero point is constantly changing with flap setting and speed. But, what you are really asking for is a Flight Path Vector indicator, which you can display on the Boeing and Airbus. I’m not sure if Garmin...

    GI275 question

Same applies in an airliner. 2.5 degrees is about level flight in most.

Wright Brothers book from 50 years ago

David McCullough’s Book on the Wright Brothers is absolutely fantastic. I listened to the Audible version while flying from Cleveland to San Antonio last year. Listening to that book while flying along in a Light Sport airplane made for a surreal experience. https://amzn.to/3tmkHt3

Unique places that you have flown.

1 mile from San Antonio is Twin Oaks airport (T94). I delivered an airplane there last year and thought it was the most unusual airpark I’d ever seen. It was like landing in a tight neighborhood. Look it up on Google Maps. Absolute blast going there. Dropped pin Near Uptown, San Antonio, TX...

    Realistic aviation movies?

“7500” on Amazon Prime blew me away. It’s really a tough subject matter and downright nauseating but they absolutely nailed the cockpit communication, mannerisms and call outs. That said, you really might not want to watch it.
