Looks like you answered your own question. There's a glut of old transponders left over from ADSB upgrades, getting a 76A should be easy and, by far, the cheapest solution. If you're going to sell the plane in the near term, you'd be lucky to get half of what you'd spend on a transponder upgrade.

I've flown a push/pull Cessna and it didn't seem noisier than a single although it is a different sound. I've flown several other twins and they seem a bit quieter than singles. Also flew DC3s with windows open (spraying), they were noisy.

Has anyone ever tried these? Looks like they'd be more comfortable and much more durable than the OEMs which LS says should be replaced every 18 months. Looks to be bulkier and I wonder how it would affect the in ear Mics for ANR functionality...

Thx...the Mini GA is a portable unit and can be clipped in and cig plug power just like Dynon portable, the PS-ACE-23-01-R1 only comes into account if you want to hard wire and get a signature as a minor change. The Dynon D3 does get good reviews from most users and would serve as an emergency...
