Thanks for posting the follow up. Although it explains why no 6.9 Legacy I’m still a bit fuzzy on how one FlyQ will function differently for annual vs lifetime. It seems as if Steve is explaining that we can stay on 7.02 and keep updating. If that’s the case, what happens if someone gets a new...
Did FlyQ Legacy ever actually come out? Have a new iPad mini on order and was thinking ahead to loading FlyQ on it but on the App Store it only shows the newest 7.02 version not 6.9 or legacy. I've got lifetime so does this mean I'm already S.O.L.? thx
I agree...I was one of the original IFLY betas when they sold their first 100 IFLY 700 units. The 700 and 720 were cheap boxes with poor graphics, low brightness and very slow speeds. The 740 is much improved BUT still a poor piece of equipment compared to any other proprietary portable unit...
Check the power wire to the surefly..It should have an always hot 12v wire to it. Might have touched it to ground while messing with cap and blew fuse.
As a lifetime subscriber, I don't see much on the positive side that might come of this but I am afraid that the "lifetime" of the FLYQ product might come to an end while they start up a new product.
I also doubt they'll be an interconnectivity improvement with Garmin products as Garmin is very...
I've been hesitant to address this with Aspen as I know it will be a "go back to avionics shop" answer and I'm not really wanting to go back as it's been there a few times already for other issues. In going through the E5 install manual, there are pitch and roll adjustments but they caution to...
It shows as a 172L which is a 150hp with 42 gallons. Normal burn of 8gph should have left a reasonable reserve with those flight times. Maybe ran it hard and rich or wasn't full at departure. The report doesn't mention fuel exhaustion. Is it possible it was something else?
EAA is twice the value for half the dues of AOPA. Although I've owned 3 experi-MENTALS in past and built one, I currently own an Archer and find more value in EAA than AOPA. As far as insurance, I had AOPA and they were just renewing same underwriter and not checking for better rates, I saved a...
Stock is 173 hp at less than 1700 lbs. the GM 2.4 is easily boosted via a multitude of different available turbos and superchargers. There are even modified Slings with LS3s.
The number 42 is, in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams, the "Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything", calculated by an enormous supercomputer named Deep Thought over a period of 7.5 million years
Just got my bill (below) for EAA membership--half the price of AOPA and twice the value. I've been a member of AOPA for 34 years and my renewal is up this month and I'm bailing.

There are buttheads driving cars and flying planes and motorcyclists have their fair share also. A couple of points of understanding:
1) almost any reasonable length motorcycle trip a car will cut off, pull out abruptly in front or pass way too close to a motorcyclist. This has been studied and...
