    Eight alternators in 24 months!

@Dan Thomas, You sir are absolutely so correct... That is exactly what I told the avionics guy who had me replace the 50 year old Over Voltage Sensor the first time. Since then every time the Cessna Over Voltage Sensor has been replaced the alternators quit failing and falling apart. Don't...

    Eight alternators in 24 months!

Wrapped in the bundle of wires around the switches is an 'Over Voltage Sensor'... This aged unit can cause all sort of issues including alternators falling apart. Some parts just don't age well and this is one of them.

How much money should I expect to make in the industry??

The advise that worked for me: Go to wherever the best pay is. You're in the "Travel Industry", travel and make more money. If you decide to have a family and sleep in your own bed regularly, there's income sacrifices to do that.

Why is my mechanic so against a turbo?

It's the rapid cooling. Turbocharged engines run right close to the operating temperature limits. When the throttle is reduced too much it cools them down and the aluminum heads change size faster then the steel cylinders.

Why is my mechanic so against a turbo?

@mandm, This is why they created "Fractional Aircraft Ownership". I believe you'll be very surprised by the cost and the opportunities to do your own flying. Sometimes things work out and you may find yourself hiring on as an eligible pilot...

Why is my mechanic so against a turbo?

Check the overhaul price of a turbocharged engine. If the price doesn't scare you, then Go-For-It. A friend had a turbocharged Piper Saratoga with a TIO-540-S1AD and the factory was not going to overhaul it but changed their mind and charged $115,000.00. Then Lycoming said they will never do it...

One of the elements that AI can't seem to get right is 'fingers'. I don't know what it is but even the AI photos can't get fingers right. Her thumb is long and skinny, like a finger. Then there's the people in the background grouped up and walking like Zombies

It's best not to ask AI for right-wrong answers but for references to the answer. Tax season is coming and most every tax law can be brought up in seconds. It would normally take weeks to read through the countless tax rules but with AI it takes seconds. Same with finding an FAR. Just ask for...
