This is my "AI Rant" also. Everything has "AI" stuck on the label before it's sent to the store shelf. A $20 toaster is "AI" because it pops up the toast before it's totally burnt.

Over the years Lycoming has always done good on their warranty with me. Just like you point out the average private owner will only fly a couple hundred hours by time the warranty expires. On-the-other-hand, the commercial aircraft will fly 1500 hours in two years and Lycoming treats them good...

Most materials will dry out and crack that's why we moved to glued down thin fabric and shoe polish. Sometimes just the metal and the flat black of the polish.

If a buyer made that request of flying the aircraft to their mechanic I would assume they where a broker and hang-up the phone. Will not sell an aircraft to a broker. Just like lawyers, the 99 percent make the other 1 percent look bad.

A.I. images is maturing slowly but surly. :rolleyes: Asked META A.I. to create image of "Beaver on floats in Alaska" in February 2024 then again today May 30, 2024. Here's what it's coming up with... Maybe next year it will get it right :fcross::p
