    Tinnerman nuts

I am 70 miles from the airplane so I am dealing from memory. I believe they are shown in figure 13 items 60 and 61. And yes I believe them to be the type of nut you pictured in your post. Apparently not all of these nuts are visible from the back side of the skin and requires quite a bit of...

Cessna single engine, access panels at the base of the vertical stabilizer and inboard edges of the horizontal stabilizers on the tailcone.

    Tinnerman nuts

We have a couple of tinnerman nuts on the tailcone with one side of the internal metal flap broken off. The screws going into the nut hold ok if we use an oversize screw but then they do not match the rest of the screws in the access panel. To replace the nuts it is necessary to disassemble...

    Canada trip health insurance options?

I learned that my Medicare Supplement policy which is with Mutual of Omaha includes $50,000 of primary coverage if traveling in Canada. Think I am going to rely on that. I have been in Canada about 30 times without ever having an incident so sounds to me that makes it worth the risk.

    Canada trip health insurance options?

No specific ailments, just catastrophic coverage such as might be needed for a car wreck? Hope I am not jinxing myself?

    Canada trip health insurance options?

I plan to make two fishing trips to Canada this summer if they reopen the border. I have Medicare coverage and a Medicare extended policy. My understanding is that this will not cover any need for health care North of the border should an unexpected need occur. Anyone have suggestions for...

Yes you are correct, the response was a result of the deleted post.

    RNAV Approach & TAA

You may be correct, I honestly do not know. I received my instrument rating 50 years go before anyone had heard of GPS equipment. Thought I had this figured out but you are certainly putting a doubt in my mind? I would not consider being established on the approach until after passing the...

    RNAV Approach & TAA

So do you think the gentleman I spoke with at FISDO is incorrect? How would you word the "until established" on the approach definition differently.

    RNAV Approach & TAA

I am missing your point? Regardless of the navigation source ATC can assign an altitude above the minimum and specify an altitude not to be left from "until established". Which means to me you can't descend from that assigned altitude until the IAF is reached and a maximum 1/2 deflection of...

    RNAV Approach & TAA

He is saying that being inside the TAA by itself does not constitute being established on an approach, more simply to be established you have to have at least 1/2 needle deflection on your Navigation source for the approach. Again this was my interpretation but that seems pretty straight...

    RNAV Approach & TAA

I called the local FISDO in Lincoln for a clarification. The individual I spoke with gave me his thoughts as follows and is my interpretation of the conversation: Just being inside the TAA does NOT constitute established! To be established it is expected that you have no more than 1/2 needle...

Got first doze of Pfizer today

Got the first Moderna shot on Feb 3 and can still feel the spot on that arm where it was administered. Getting the second one Thursday, going to load up on ibuprofen before I go!

    RNAV Approach & TAA

I really like these discussions! I have always thought the correct “until established” procedure was what David has been describing not just inside the TAA. Obviously this is not clear to all as to which is proper. And since no response yet from one of our several members of ATC I can’t help...
