    Question on Constant Speed Propellers

So in your RV-10, "a civil aircraft", you as builder can write the operating limitations as such to run the engine 100 degrees LOP if you so wish? Or not?

    Seriously considering a ('81) Beech 77 Skipper

Replacement parts availability? Only 300 or so built. No idea how many flying. If you have twenty flying, you have potentially 280 aircraft for parts :-)

    Crashed my Flight Design CTLS

What is the best Looking at the altimeter winding down and the high IAS, what is the best glide speed for this aircraft? CT LS says 78 kts no flap and for CT SW 63 kts with 15 degree flap.

    Level of turbulence for VA?

Up front. Low time pilot, turbulence makes me nervous as well and would love ball park speeds for flying in turbulent air. (To hang my hat on for starters. Ex. Approach speed aim for Vs0 x 1.3. Later to refine as experience teaches otherwise). Always thought of the Va as: "Do not make full or...

    It's over

"Early in the day I'm 99% good to go, as the day drags on my foot gets heavier and heavier, until after dinner and evening I'm unable to walk." The clinical hallmark of MG is the presence of fluctuating fatigable muscle weakness that worsens with activity and improves on rest. Isolated limb...

    Citabria Strut Vibration

Re: Citabria Shimmey Next I got out an old 1950’s auto repair manual that explained king pin front wheel suspension systems and steering castor angle. If you have ever pushed a grocery cart through the supermarket with one of the front wheels shaking side to side you have experienced wheel...

Sights to see: Bonners Ferry to McCall, Idaho

"IFR", call me chicken, I am OK with that. Likely Bonners to Moscow/Pullman, pit stop in Grangerville and then on to Slate Creek, New Meadows, McCall. Lewiston looks like a lush place next to the river, but wonder how hot (DA) it is going to be and to climb back onto the plateau towards...

Sights to see: Bonners Ferry to McCall, Idaho

This summer, going for some remedial training as I picked up some bad habits and being too complacent. All this, because of flying low and slow, farmers fields (say cows), non-towered environment and the likes. 150 hp Citabria. Any advise on places to see, maybe camp, side trips etc. (The...

    Piston shutdown procedures

Using Henning's technique, flicking the ignition to off and back on again, followed by pulling the mixture to starve the engine; some advise to switch the ignition back on to only one mag, say the Right one (closest to the off position on the switch) instead of both. What will be the reason for...
