I think those two are outside of the “procedure.” Those in line are at 1800’.

That’s a cool link! Looks like Bo’s to OSH are on final.

    Injected Lycoming fuel pressure fluctuation

Thank you for that! Some of these things are so new to me, so all I have to go off of is terminology. I couldn’t find any reference to a “snubber” in the Lycoming or TwinCo parts manuals. This helps a ton!

    Injected Lycoming fuel pressure fluctuation

Is this a legitimate snubber or does anyone know where to find an aviation-specific variant? Another mechanic agreed that a snubber is likely to solve my issue, but his thought was that it actually goes in the fuel line (inside the fitting), but didn’t know where to find one. Spruce search...

    Injected Lycoming fuel pressure fluctuation

Would you expound upon what you’re saying here, I’m not quite following. I have the EI engine monitors and my fuel pressures are all over the place (twin), similar to yours. We’ve also tried bleeding the line to the sensor with no resolution, so I just ignore them for now.

    Attitude Indicator Overhaul

TC, yep, was drawing a blank on the name, lol. I change the filters at every annual and we’ve verified no leaks in the system. The hoses are all in good condition, but if it were dust, wouldn’t the overhauler tell that me the instrument was contaminated after having to redo an overhaul within...

    Attitude Indicator Overhaul

Because Garmin unlocked that functionality for their autopilots, but not the legacies. It’s a 52D67. APs are either (generally) attitude-based (Attitude Indicator) or rate-based (turn and bank). GI275 will run it and so will an Aspen, but I have a G5 and am happy with it.

    Attitude Indicator Overhaul

Wow, that's a lot, lol! Bad vacuum gauge or?

    Attitude Indicator Overhaul

It's set right on 5.1" on both a digital and analog instrument. Too much vacuum burned them up? How high were they?

    Attitude Indicator Overhaul

I have an AI that was starting to lean randomly back in 2019. Sent it into one of the recommended/popular shops for overhaul. It came back working better but started to lean randomly again a few months later, so I sent it back to the same shop for a warranty repair. 5 months later, it's doing...

    GTX 345 Failure

If you look at my post above it says “failed.” Additionally, I could not set a transponder code and ATC confirmed they were receiving no return from me.

Real benefit to linking -530W to -430W (crosstalk)?

I’m certain it’s not as difficult as tracing those two already installed wires was. My arm looks like a cat got ahold of it after digging around underneath my panel, lol. You can be sure I labeled every pertinent wire; I’m not going through that again (willingly)!

Real benefit to linking -530W to -430W (crosstalk)?

I have a 530/430 and am currently running an RS232 to the 530 for engine monitors. While port 3 is currently OFF (on both), to my surprise I discovered port 3 already has wires routed and I found they go to my 430. “Crosstalk” isn’t enabled, so I don’t know what I’m missing functionality-wise...

    What is a Serial Wire?

In my case, there is already almost 3 feet of wire on the receiving end and the transmitting end, neither of which is shielded. There’s no mention in the installation manual about whether shielded is necessary or not if extending it. But, a few feet of shielded wire isn’t much more expensive...

    What is a Serial Wire?

Great explanation, thank you! It is a single wire transmit. Basically transmitting engine data from one box to the display. However, it’s only about 4 feet long and I need it to reach about 6. It looks like a pretty standard wire, however, a lot of random data is going through it (CHT, EGT...

    What is a Serial Wire?

What is a “serial wire?” When you have a single wire that serves as a “serial wire,” can its length be extended? Is there anything special about this wire vs standard wire?

    EI CGR-30P and -30C in PA-30

I’m just about ready to place my order for a CGR set. A couple of questions have arisen that hopefully someone here can answer. 1. I can add an amp meter option, but I have to ID where I want it to connect (the battery or the avionics bus). Any recommendations as to which circuit makes the...

    EI CGR-30P and -30C in PA-30

Thanks @NordicDave , great idea with drawing it out. Makes a lot more sense, now just need to confirm with EI that this layout will work.
