N/A Best carpet cleaning machines (shampooers)?

I saw the "N/A" at the start of this thread and for some reason my brain immediately went to "wait... a normally aspirated carpet cleaner??"

No arguments with any of that. People in general find new and exciting ways to massively disappoint me on a very regular basis.

Thinking about getting gas. Then Ranting.

Hadn't thought about that. I could see two schools of thought here: It's IT's responsibility to ensure the information security of the organization, so they should be the ones to ultimately stop threats at the doors, and if a threat does get in, deal with it before it gets out. It's the...

    Electric push mower

Ego sells several levels of their push mower. Their more capable ones aren't generally available in stores, since they are pretty spendy and wouldn't move off the shelf. But... those high dollar ones come with significantly higher capacity batteries (which is where all the $$$) is.

"iT Is a CosT CenTeR!!!" Yep. Until it's not. I've worked in organizations where the ratio of IT to non-IT was completely out of whack. Like around 1:100 or so. That was a relatively large financial organization, too.

For the folks that work these jobs, it isn't about that one interaction. It's the fact that they deal with Karens ALL.DAY.LONG. By the time Karen #30 rolls up, they are fresh out of craps to give, and I don't blame them. People in retail deal with stupid isht all day... and THEN they get to deal...

The part I was referring to is where people freak right the hell out about a gasoline shortage, then proceed to hoard themselves into a self-created gasoline shortage. If people had just chilled, let things play out, we wouldn't have had a bunch of dummies filling up tupperware with 87 octane.

Slight correction: MOST of them want to work now. They just want to get paid a living wage. Maybe get some health care.

Thankfully, that's already happening. Quite a few places can't keep their doors open right now because their minimum wage employees are fed up.

    Electric push mower

Surprised that I haven't seen any mention of Honda's autonomous mower. Clearly their setup at Oshkosh isn't having the desired effect.

You... know that their next job will basically be the same thing, right?

I imagine after taking grief from a dozen angry customers, their f***-o-meter drops to zero.

We had the the older version of this one before it got stolen (and I replaced it with the Ego, so no vacuum)... I really liked it. Chewed through almost everything I threw at it. https://www.acehardware.com/departments/lawn-and-garden/outdoor-power-equipment/leaf-blowers/7500093

MidAir at Centennial Airport Cirrus and Metroliner

I would have never thought that you could not only remove, but VIOLENTLY remove half of the fuselage aft of the wing and still have the empennage stay intact. Sounds like the Metro pilot didn't really grasp the amount of damage he was dealing with. Tower was all like, "hey pal, you... you need...

    Walmart not taking cash.

Most of these folks are getting paid minimum wage, no benefits, zero say in the cash acceptance situation, and absolutely no benefit to them whatsoever to get into an argument with the customer. "We don't accept cash." That should be the end of the story. If the customer has a problem with...

    Walmart not taking cash.

Ain't that the truth. Just do not get paid enough to deal with the crap that people throw at them, especially over the past year. Also, I noticed the OP said that they weren't accepting cash "today." Does that mean not accepting it just today (could be a problem with their safe or something?)...

    Electric push mower

I have a decent suite of the Ego products, and I frigging love them. Zero maintenance. Since I have several pieces, I have a few batteries and chargers. I've never been left waiting for a battery to charge. It's pretty rare that my mower will kill a battery (1/4 acre), but if the grass is long...

    Thinking about a Bus/RV

Out of curiosity, any Wanderlodge owners here? Really really want to lay my hands on a late 80 PT40, maybe get into a Series 60 WB40 that had a REALLY good selling price. I was introduced to Wanderlodges at my first Oshkosh almost a decade ago, and I've been obsessed ever since.

Love watching a self-fulfilling prophecy come to life. Unfortunately, this disproportionally affects an awful lot of people that actually NEED the gas.

    Walmart not taking cash.

Man. An awful lot of people in this thread have clearly never spent any time with or have never bothered to learn about some the people we are talking about. There are millions of folks out there with extremely limited options for banking (and even less for reasonable credit). I'll take North...
