    Dangerous request from airport manager?

There are, and depending on the size of the airport, the company carrying the insurance for the airport may require those certifications.

“If you need anything I’ll be in the back.”

"Back in the Day", your initial medical included a yellow tab that was pulled and served as your student certificate and a medical. Now everything is online. So if you need a medical prior to solo, you do that through MedXpress and see the local AME to complete the process and the AME prints the...

    MOA NOR*

I'm used to the Western MOAs, north of Las Vegas. Normally you could have up to 100 aircraft in the MOA on an exercise. 500AGL and 540knts or higher. Granted, the Bones are not doing low level ingress any more.

    ...

I know an airport authority in Las Vegas that tried to impose a $2M Liability insurance requirement on the aircraft tied down on their airfields. There was no insurance company that would issue a $2M policy to most GA light aircraft. Good luck... they had to change their policy back to the $1M...

    MOA NOR*

What you are not seeing is the Brady Low MOAs to the south are 500AGL to 5,999MSL. The Brady High MOA which you depict is 6,000MSL to 17,999MSL. The Brady North (NOR*) is 3,600MSL to 17,999MSL. Yes, the Brownwood MOAs to the north are 7,000MSL to 17,999MSL. You are not depicting the cutouts...

Piper Arrow at tie down with dead battery...how to charge?

That and a normal battery charger to connect to the battery. Cannot connect the Piper Plug to the 120V Generator, unless it's got a 12V output. I would have to check the manual, but can you charge the battery through the Piper Plug?

Which is harder to land? Tailwheel or Glider

The toughest part for many to learn about gliders is knowing where your tips are. Hint, sit up straight, the tips are the extension of your shoulders. If you are not straight, your wing tips are about to touch the ground. Touching the ground contributes to what you referred to as a ground loop...

    Flying the Piper Pawnee

The Pawnee will lift the tail while taxi turning broadside to a stiff wind. Especially if the right side is exposed to the wind, you need power to push that big fuselage against the wind and then will rotate quickly once the wind is more from the tail. Power up to get around, full left rudder...

    Flying the Piper Pawnee

What usually gets Pawnee or any glider tow pilots, is the stupid glider pilot on the other end of the rope.

Appears that I'm grounded for 2 years, now what?

Wife had TIAs, and Migraines. Turns out she had a brain aneurism that had not popped, but was causing clots. Throwing the clots was causing the migraines, and in the worse case a TIA. Luckily the clot dissolved quickly. If the aneurism had ruptured, it is over, done, finito. Brain surgery to...

    Flying the Piper Pawnee

This one had square tips with stall fences. Stuck down about two inches below the wing and extended back past the wing trailing edge. Yes, the bottom has been filed on the runway from max performance crosswind work. Not much green grass around to stain the tips.

    Flying the Piper Pawnee

Consider your "Density Altitude" tow altitude in NE Texas. Out west, an airport at 2800MSL can have a DA above 5000 very easily. Towing from a 5500MSL airport, DA is approaching 9K on the ground and you will only get about 3000ft AGL before the O-540 and the Pawnee wings have met their...
